Btw, I love rooting for my alma mater--spent 7 years there. My wife's alma mater-spent 6 years there. My older son's alma mater. My younger son's future alma mater.

It's nice having that personal connection to the program. The sweatshirts, going back to visit, going to games every year, the old dorms, the bars, the houses we lived in, the old haunts, me and my roomates texting and e-mailing and getting together every few years to reminisce. Boeheim's been my coach ever since I've been involved at SU since 1977. Love that he's stayed at my one insitution his whole career.

All I have ever wanted since I've started watching SU BB in 1977 was a framed NCAA Sports Illustrated cover with my National Championship team. I got it and everything for the rest of my days is gravy. Another one would be nice, but it's not crucial to my enjoyment of my alma mater's team. I think I'm more interested in my son seeing a championship while he's there.

Now if I can just get one for my New York Jets, I'll be done there too.

I'm really looking forward to seeing Wichita state play tonight. I haven't gotten a great look st them this year. I would love to see them go 30-0

 

I think they'll do it, I expect they will get a 1 seed but I don't think they will make the FF again. I have respect for what they have done and they are a good team but they won't catch anyone by surprise in this year's tourney.
