Im not sure about that down there Hiker..not sure at all. If this storm does not go boom..it will stay south..so I think in the long run you get something and not partly cloudy.

Again, Sunday night..Sunday night the models will grab the setup better...and then I will probably come on here and say oh boy...here we go again.

CMAN....NO DOUBT BUD...everything will get a later start. We were on our way to recovery but even if there are no storms, we know for sure that next week its back to the freezer...all the way down to Florida.

i just had the same conversation with my brother. trout opens april 1, but the rivers are going to be running too fast and too brown to make it worth trying. might be sitting out the opener this year

Not much really to add...so we dont have to go back and search lets just give another quick bottom line..and if the models change tonight, I will post them.

First cold front came through today...but temps will still warm quite a bit Saturday..and bit less Sunday before the next cold front comes through and really drops temps for at least the next 7 days.

Possible light snow/rain event Sunday night.

Then Tuesday night through Wednesday night keeps getting more confusing. Models are showing perhaps 2 weaker systems at one time bringing some precip...all snow both Tuesday night and Wednesday night...but today the models signaled...and this REALLY has to be watched closely...the potential for 1 much stronger storm. Not quite there yet but caught my attention. Besides the general pattern change, it caught my eye because this was at one time a big storm on the models.

Then we go to next weekend and again...players are all there but not getting along...good thing for snow haters.

Then the following Tuesday...same thing..potential potential.

    So here we go:

2-23 Cold front passage with maybe some light stuff.

2-25/2-26 ..pehaps 2 small disturbances OR 1 larger system.

2-28/3-1 ..showed signals for a very large storm..but backed off a bit but all signals are still there.

3-3/3-4..again...has shown huge storm but too far out.

Will post model updates tonight because as we have talked about, getting closer to Sunday will paint this confusing picture a bit more accurately.

so a good amount of snow melted these last 2 days, but the black ice the last 2 mornings has been treacherous to say the least.

could do without the storms but the cold temps staggering the thaw over a couple of weeks wouldn't be a bad thing

If there is such a thing as slowing down the thaw, this would be it FJF...I hear you totally. The only problem is that this cold front means business...there will be 2 or 3 mornings walking out of the house next week where some will silently say ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I do that all the time.

No changes to my above post...everything seems status quo and if take the models as end all, other than maybe a couple 1 to 3 events and some snow showers...all near hits. Problem is that I really believe that will not be the case...cant have this amount of players on the field and nothing phases..nothing happens. I mean it can happen...it just hasnt happened this winter with this setup next week.

So....tomorrow night will check...but come Sunday night something might break.

If I get up on the middle of the night...I am a water freak..i love water...I will check a model or two. It has its pluses an minuses. Pluses in that I get a jump in my head when I wake up...minuses..and this is a true story...I have fallen asleep and had dreams that the models said something else and woke up to look for a blizzard on the models and see partly sunny skies.

If you were to put a gun to my head..and that wouldnt be very cool..but if you did..I would think the biggest of all the storms this week could be the Wednesday night Thursday storm which right now is showing 2 to 4. While the models show that, some of their ensembles are showing something different..and much more...and something that makes more sense.

So for the 100th time..sorry...tomorrow night..maybe later tonight...but tomorrow night something is going to give I think. Will be on after midnight.

    Hope all is well!!

OH..CBG..that is a crap load of sunshine..and I for one would swim in it gladly.

FIRST OFF..JONNNNY!!!...I PUT THE WRONG DAYS.....sorry jon. That is my fault that storm would be overnight Tuesday Wednesday and still no model has gone boom...so nothing to lose sleep over ...YET.

No changes...only the EURO has the Tuesday night/ Wednesday storm and it has it for 3 to 5...NOT WEDNESDAY/THURSDAY...that was me reading the times wrong on the models..very sorry.

Other than that...status quo. No changes. Think tomorrow night might be different but I could be wrong. Lets see. Will be on late tomorrow night..but will check in during the day to see if my gut instinct is incorrect. Gut instinct is PURELY going by the trends of this Winter...not by being a smarter than anyone else.

    So let see.

Yes Jon..you are fine on Thursday right now...right now. Sunday we will see. Right now, a storm will probably approach late Sunday night...but we need to keep an eye on that one.

    Jay,

    Thanks for the great weekend!

Most of my snow is now gone. I had a full load of snow in my truck Friday morning. It is now down to a few weak looking chunks.

If you have more white stuff planned for this week, then bring it on!

    Tom
