Norwegian doctors believe he should be ready to go by the time break is over. It was a very minor fracture. Frustrating, but shouldn't be something we worry too much about. We'll see. If he's out for an extended period, we're fucked.
Brooks in the post is reporting that he will be out for 7-10 days when the Rangers get back from the Olympics. It shouldn't be too bad. He'll be out for three or four games.
Peter Botte@PeterBotte17h Michael Peca got hurt in the playoffs once. That's why the Islanders don't participate in them anymore.
Garth Snow has made a fool out of himself during these Olympics. First he didn't let Visnovsky compete even though Visnovsky said he was healthy, and now he has made some crazy comments following the injury to Tavares. His team is out of the playoff race. He needs to stop running his mouth.
Matt, Cally was at fault on the goal. He got out of position which led to the original shot that ended up being deflected in. McDonagh was great as usual. He has solidified himself as one of the ten best defenseman in the league.
Ten? I'd say top five. He's one of the most well-rounded, fundamentally sound defenders in the world. He's ALWAYS in the right position and can lock down a top forward the entire game. He's not as offensively flashy as Karlsson or as powerful as Weber, but as a TWD I think only Subban is better. The good news coming out of this break is: -Hank, Cally and McD are playing very well. -Zucc's injury is minor Rangers are looking strong right now.
I don't think he's top five. There are a lot of really good defenseman in the league. My personal rankings would be: 1. Suter 2. Chara 3. Keith 4. Karlsson 5. Weber 6. Pietrangelo 7. McDonagh 8. Doughty 9. Ekman-Larsson 10. Letang Not a fan of the way Subban plays. Hard shot, but not much else. Seabrook would probably be #11 for me. I also don't think Girardi is too far outside of the top ten. He's at least a top 20 defenseman in the league for me. Staal's getting back up there. I think he is a top 25 defenseman in the league when he is playing his best.
I'd like to see the USA win a Gold Medal. Its meaningless for the Rangers, but its something that I would like to see.
I agree, but Callahan was also out of position. He doesn't deserve full blame, but he definitely deserves some blame for the goal.
