Manziel 5-11 3/4 http://nfl.si.com/2014/02/21/johnny-manziel-height-2014-nfl-combine/ Bridgewater 6-2 1/4 and 214 LBS http://nfl.si.com/2014/02/21/teddy-bridgewater-measurements-2014-nfl-combine/ _
Once Bridgewater gains about 10 more pounds, he won't have any real glaring weaknesses in his game left
Yup. He went from 195 to 214 before ever entering an NFL strength and conditioning program. He'll be 225 in no time. He has the frame for it. _
None of these guys will do jack against NFl defenses. Jimmy Garrpolo looks like the sleeper in this draft simply because he appeared to make smart decisions in the Senior Bowl. Maybe Jets take a crack at him with one of their 3rd round picks if he falls
If drafted into the right situation I think Bridgewater can succeed. Jury is still out on Manziel, for me at least. Houston drafts Bridgewater, I think he puts up excellent numbers his rookie year. Aside from QB, there is a lot of talent on that team. I think his development will be stunted if he's taken by Jacksonville.
It's funny people really used this as a reason not to draft him LOL. Teddy Bridgewater is going to be the guy that can just dissect a defense sitting in the pocket. Then once you figure him out, he'll run like 20 yards down the field. I think a lot of people are discounting this guy's football IQ and ability to make decisions on the fly. His IQ on the field is rivals that of Andrew Luck. You want a smart QB? Well this guy is it - the cerebral assassin. Really wish we could have had Bridgewater as a Jet.
Biggest wild card and probably the most polarizing QB to come out in a while (not counting Tebow because that was a whole nother issue). Some are convinced he'll bust, some are convinced he'll be a star. Anyone who says they know for certain are just guessing. Some will have guessed right, some will have guessed wrong.. Lol at the guys 4 years from now who'll say "Ha! I was right!! Told you so!!!" No, all it means is you guessed right. Nobody has any idea how he'll translate to the NFL. _
Well apparently he's one of those guys that's not going to do jack against NFL defenses. LOL. What I'd give for Teddy. _
The last QB under 6'3" taken on the 1 pick was Michael Vick in 2000. Only 2 guys under 6'3" have been taken in the top 3 in that span, with RGIII being the other. I doubt Teddy Bridgewater is the 1 pick this year. Too much really good talent elsewhere and too many QB's overall in the draft. If you pass up Bridgewater on the 1 you still have an excellent shot at getting your QB on the 33. Bridgewater was shorter than advertised. He's been 6'3" his whole career until about two weeks ago when his reps realized that he wasn't going to make it to that number at the combine and started adjusting his height in various places.
If the Texans don't take Bridgewater they are a joke. He's the best QB in this draft class, and him coming in 15 lbs heavier than expected and and inch or two taller, takes away his biggest blemish. Kid's gonna be good.
