I like both of the newer ones. As Jeti and others have said, pick the one that is best for you.

I voted for Invision because I've been to a lot of forums in the past that used it and they were always superior in usability. I'm surprised it's so low on the list. The only thing I feel is really important is the ability to back up the database and restore it on the new software. I'm not sure if that's doable with different message board software or not. There's a lot of history on here I'd love to see stay. I've been admin on Invision and it's not hard at all to manage plus the default smilies >>>>>>>>>

I don't know enough about what types there are, but would welcome one that works and looks like this one, which I love.
I'm certain which ever board you choose Petro will be the dogs!

So if the upgrade is to anything other than vbulletin, every post gets lost and all users had to start from scratch?

they actually use the same software as gang green, only they're at version 4.2 and this here is version 3.8. Also it doesn't help that they picked the biggest retard options to decorate with

Xenforo is pretty nice. They have options to tag certain forum members (not sure if that's coded into the software or apart of the boards) in a post so I can for example ask for a certain members input on a topic by posting @jetsfanforlife and it links to their name. It's pretty slick.

I just bought a Xenforo license. We'll be moving to a new server as well. The new server's CPU is a bit faster and it also has an SSD, so hopefully the new board will also be faster.
