The Netherlands now lead in medals, despite not medaling in anything other than speed skating. They have absolutely dominated speed skating. I wonder if they're wearing different suits, This morning was the women's 1500m speed skating. The Netherlands took the top four spots! There were 36 competitors, four from the Netherlands. 1-2-3-4. Absurd. The top skater from another country was Skokova and she was 1.91 seconds off the podium!
Watched the women's cross country relay and that ending with Kalla coming back to win from 25 seconds back was incredibly exciting. When she made her move I was literally out of my chair cheering her on. Pretty cool. _
USA women's hockey in the finals after a beatdown of Sweden Next up: Canada will blow out Switzerland, setting up yet another Canada/US women's hockey finals
women's olympic hockey began in 1998 Switzerland/Sweden was the first time a team came back from 2 goals down in the third to win in a medal game Then it happened again in the gold medal game. Canada didn't score for about 56:30 and then 2 goals to tie it in quick succession.
The USA women didn't deserve to win. That was some choke job. Props to the Canadian women although I thought that the USA had a much better team coming into the tournament. I also thought that the refs had an awful game. At least they were consistently bad for both teams though.
