Deone Bucannon has been really impressive and his draft stock seems to be rising, Id rather not take the risk at losing out on him so I took him at the 49ers higher pick in the second. With Hitner gone they'll need a Strong Safety to fill into their secondary, Bucannon and Reid should be a great young safety tandem.
I will not be back on-line till about 5 PM tomorrow, I have to go to a conference. Anyone that will be able to take boards, I appreciate it
If he can at all improve his coverage skills, the guy can be a superstar safety in the NFL. He needs to get stuff like taking the right angles on an open field tackle down though but that can be taught. He's a big time hitter who looks for the big time hit, just needs to watch it sometimes with it, especially now with these rules in the NFL.
Guys I'm Out of here for the night, I'll check the site early in the morning before I go to work. I'll be back around 5 PM Great Job everyone....very competitive draft. I have no active boards right now.
He reminds me of the guy the 49ers actually let go last offseason over to Tampa, Dashon Goldson. I don't think he's as reckless I mean but he's a big hitter but is raw in some aspects. I think Harbaugh and his staff can teach him well, its a nice fit. With WW85 unavailable for much of the day, send me your boards if need be guys. I'll be around(Thank you snow).
Thanks Baker......Please send your boards to Bakermaker today!! Also, Harpua had an issue come up, anyone can make Denver's pick today. PinPointPenning10 (Saints) is OTC and has till 4:30 to make his pick.
Baker, if you need any help today let me know. As I said in my PM earlier Im snowed in so I should be around the majority of the day. (Barely slept yet though hahaha)
3:30 since the last pick was made at 10:30 EST, which means an hour and half eclipsed. Regardless, I don't think it should come to that. and I appreciate it Johnny.
Went with Bryant because I think he has the most #1 potential of the WRs who are left. He will probably need a year or two to get settled into the NFL, but he has a terrific size and speed combination that can be lethal once he gets adjusted. They'll have Wayne back this year, but he doesn't have much longer in the league. I know the popular pick for Indy is a guard, but last year they lost their starting RG for the season in mid-september and I think their rookie LG Thornton did a pretty good job. Continuity is important on the OL and rather than bring in a late 2nd round guy to compete with Thornton I think getting a potential Wayne replacement was the better move while Bryant was still available. Now, had Gabe Jackson still been available, this probably would have been a different story.
WTF is going on with the main board? There's like 15 different threads about "Are you mad"... Well, the CB and OL market really became thin in the last 15 picks or so. Not much of a choice.
So my list for New England was... 1. Fuller 2. Purifoy 3. Joyner 4. Bucannon 5. Swanson 6. Jean-Baptiste Give me a few minutes to figure out what the hell to do now.
Denver is up but Harpua was last on in the morning(Just before 12) so I'll give Harpua time to pick for himself.
Gonna be out for a little bit(Prob gonna take a rest, been shoveling this garbage for a while lol).....Still wanna give Harpua a little more time since he was recently on but if not, someone(Or I can) can make the pick by 3:30 so we can keep this moving while giving Harpua(Or if someone has his board) time.
