Ftr I don't mind silly pictures. But they really do not substitute for cohesive and persuasive arguments. Not very well, anyway.
No they didn't throw him to the dogs, but I do think they expected Sanchez to grow and become better than he actually did. To be fair, I complained about Schotty in 2009 and 2010 although I wasn't on here doing so
Didn't say that. If you want to admonish folks for using clownish, immature or childish behavior on the board, then you yourself should probably think twice before doing the same. Calling someone out for being immature or childish, then using immature or childish nicknames (be it about a player or another poster)--in an adult conversation--is an ironic dichotomy, no? _
That's on the front office - they didn't even make an attempt to upgrade the offense - instead they thought Sanchez could elevate the play of players around him - no matter how bad they were. He's not that type of QB. he should have been surrounded by good players. No, they don't. Some of those sacks, he didn't even have 2 seconds to get the ball after it was snapped. Mark isn't some 6'4 220 QB that can absorb hits like Cam Newton. Did you not remember the front page of this message board about the Shoulder injury Mark had at the end of 2011? Mark wanted to get stronger so he could absorb more hits. We know the Jets do pretty well when it comes to hiding injures. Watch the video, watch his body language. I don't have to go into specifics, just like you didn't get into specifics regarding the Orton - Tebow issue. In this argument it is the only important argument I need. None of those QBs mentioned scored more than prob 20 TDs in a season (Josh Freeman I believe was the only one from that list). I said Mark had an average year, I did not say he had an average career. We are talking about 1 season and 1 season only. He was average from 2010 to 2011. From the Patriots Regular season game in 2010 (not 45-3) to the Broncos game in 2011. That was when he played average.
Lol - Living Color was one of my favorite TV shows. A guy that uses big words, but has no clue what he's talking about "Muck fans don't know football" herp a derp. Pot meet Kettle.
I do want him gone and I have various reasons why. The number 1 reason is that I want the Jets to win a Super Bowl. And it has become abundantly clear that as long as he's our starting QB we'll never win one. So why waste time keeping Sanchez around?
So ANOTHER incongruous reason. You're just all over the place you crazy whacky guy you. Like I said, you're funny. Never change. _
Exactly. A clown trying to call others clowns. I don't even think he understands how ironically clownish he sounds. _
Im not convinced that Sanchez wont be on the 2014 roster. A year ago around this time everyone had him good as gone and as it turns out he was retained due to certain circumstances such as Garrard getting injured. Now here we are a year later and again people are saying he is as good as gone. I really dont believe that, I believe he will get cut, but I would give it a reasonable chance that he gets a new contract or some sort of restructure. Since the day Idzik arrived, all we have heard was that he was trying to distance himself from the past regime. Sanchez was supposed to be cut, Rex was supposed to be fire, but as it turns Sanchez was retained last offseason, Rex wasnt fired. I cannot confidently say Sanchez wont be a Jet in 2014, I dont think Idzik is trying distance himself from anyone, thats become clear imo. Its actually entirely possible that right now Idzik is talking to Sanchez's agent and that is why Sanchez is still on the roster.
Sanchez is either here to start or not here at all. if he was here to start they'd call him starter right now, no new competition needed. Sanchez won't want to be the plan B QB, because that role is short, limited and is primarily for guys who know their chances of starting are slim to none as they enter the twilight of their career. its a mentoring stopgap role thats up for grabs, not a chance to be a franchise QB. if Sanchez wants that and he will, he's gonna be looking elsewhere for it should he be cut. who the hell brings in a cut player they're trying to move on from to be competition? especially with another player they've ALREADY competed with in an the exact same offensive scheme.? He'd be a walking ghost out there! even if weapons were the only issue they found with him wouldn't they just bring him back as starter anyway as they got more? or do they really view him and Smith as equally able to become franchise QB's, which is a cue to get rid of the over expensive "prospect" in the first place? starting at the same basic price or cut and never brought back. these are the options people. lets not kid ourselves.
I hate to say what I'm about to ask you. But did you read my post? So by your logic I need to only have one reason to want him gone? Lol.
This is why I said I wouldn't try to explain my reply to you because you wouldn't understand it. You've confused yourself, it's ok, I get it even if you don't. _
Now you're trying to insult my intelligence. I can read and comprehend just fine. You're trying to say that no matter what I want him gone. You have an issue with the fact that I have different reasons why I want him gone.
So much bitching lol. There are a few reasons why I'm almost positive Mark wont be back: 1. Ridiculously high cap number. His compensation wont match his production. 2. I doubt Idzik will want to latch his tenure to Mark. Idzik picked his guy, and he'll go down with this guy. 3. If I were Mark, I don't know how badly I'd even want to be here. He could compete to start for 3 or 4 other teams.
Not at all. I just find it funny how you flit from one reason to the next to the next as the REAL reason you want him gone. Seriously, you just just drop by this thread once a day until he is cut and scream "BUTTFUMBLE". You'd sound less confused. _
The question is will Idzik select Mark as his veteran Qb on the roster for 2014. The Jets are going to sign someone. And pay them probably up to 4 mil. Although you could get someone much cheaper. And maybe they will and still go with Simms, who they re-signed as their backup. Geno is not making that much, either. Is Idzik concerned only about salary and would he sign Mark if he cut his contract down at least in half if not more. Or has the team decided to go in a different direction. Mark's already proven he's a good teammate and if benched will not cause a distraction. Of course like Geno he still thinks it's his job. For me based on his performances esp his last two seasons (and his 4 year league low stats-QBr and turnovers) I'd let him go. If the Jets do there is still a cap hit, I'm not sure if they will owe him any money. That could play a part in it. Woody does not want to pay players to play for other teams. He didn't want to pay Rex to coach somewhere else. Again to me it's a no brainer: You cut him. You can't stick with a player like that. You lose games and blow seasons.
