It's not even the snow as much as its been this miserable cold temps. I can deal with 30s and snow much more than low 20s and snow.

Snow removal is shit where i live even when there isn't a ton of frozen garbage already clogging up the roads/sidewalks. Not to mention the people that can't/won't clear their sidewalks and turn them into death traps. I guess the awful cold temps are more to blame for the particular shitstorm we have now but enough already.

ok..now you are getting my goat here M. I truly am a summer guy...love the beach..love anything to do in the ocean..and spend as much time as i can in it.

When the COLORS as you mention start...and everyone starts getting excited over the COLORS...i lose it. What the hell is so great about the fall except instead of going out with a pair of shorts and a tshirt..you have to wear jeans and a sweatshirt.

Dont get me started on fall and the damn leaves.

Again...not to sound like a broken record...Im with you.

A few weeks ago during that absurd cold night, I was at foodtown going to get a carriage..and this woman..very attractive I might add, walked by me and I was talking to myself..both of our head were buried under our hoodies. We made eye contact and I just blurted out...THIS IS STUPID. she responded...ITS INHUMANE. i said YOU HAVE TO BE AN IDIOT TO LIVE HERE...and we both cracked up and will never see each other again.

True story...this cold weather this year is just flat out stupid...its sick.

i don't know man, maybe its the 17 years i spent in florida after growing up here, but i like the snow. i like that mother nature lets us know we don't have as much control as we tend to think. so 3 months out of the year we have to work a little harder and plan a little more. keeps me grounded.

plus sleigh riding is fun at any age

Remember that very high model I put out a few pages back I think? THE NAM? I said it blows up numbers a bit on the snowy side? Well it does it until you get under 48 hours..then it starts to really become very accurate in my opinion....that run is coming out now..with new data.

Lets see what happens. Snow lovers..want a more easterly track...snow haters..want a more westerly track...more against the coast..or over land.

amazingly 48 hours from now it will be winding down for many south of nj/pa/nyc. and many have no idea what they are getting. To be honest..for such an historic storm..which it will be when all is said and done...not enjoying the tracking or guessing as much as one should. A track like this with a precip content like this should be easier...but its not.

Looking at the latest trends people getting over a foot will mix at some point with sleet..and well...how the hell do you predict that area. Tough call. FJF..I think your safe with huge numbers.

NAM is about 3/4 done..and quite honestly..more snow for those in NYC and I95..while the GFS is sleet right through N.J. The NAM has been so consistent..so Im not budging..still think the local media will go higher.

12 to 18 nnj..with bands of 18 to 24 setting up somewhere nw central jersey on north. FJF gets all snow...NYC is still a big question mark but the NAM does not budge with at least 12..mixing with sleet yes..in the middle of the storm..but then back to snow.

What can you do...you stick with it I guess. Will post the NAM snow numbers in about 15 minutes..its been like watching paint dry so far.

Hey, you don't have to hit me over the head with a roll of weather maps.

I read you loud and clear, brother. Loud and clear.

And all that talk about 8 inches? 10 inches? A foot?

They have their needs, too. After all, they're only human.

The body craves what it needs.

and the latest nam..now this is not finished so areas north of conn will have some more...but just check off the cutoff on either side...20 mile goes from 2 inches to near a foot...both east..and west.

And you want to know how much snow you are getting? Hah.....lol....this is almost comical. The huge cutoff on the east side is of course rain and sleet. Easy. The huge cutoff on the west side? Is rare...and its because the storm over the great lakes digging at this storm is the best way to put it.

    Sooo....sticking with the numbers.

A lot of symbolism there. A lot of symbolism. This is like one of those ink blot tests.

You're making me want to stay at home Thursday.

I think staying at home on Thursday is a given..for almost every person on here...except Hiker in his shorts i Mexico he said? Man.

Yes...only the Jersey shore and eastern L.I. might have rain issues I would believe.
