No way the Front Office is letting that happen... We will be getting at least 3 receivers in this draft... My bet is 2 WR and 1 TE. They have to see the deficiency we have at those positions. Just upgrading that group, makes us go from an 8-8 team to a 10-6 team at least!

Really hope we can get one of these guys for a reasonable price. Would love to sign Maclin maybe to a 2 year deal.

Combine that with acquiring wrs from the draft, and we will have a much different depth chart. One that I believe we don't throw up over

Hill is definitely expendable. I honestly dont see this kid turning the corner. has no hands and has tons of trouble getting separation. a true waste of space.

Interesting. I think I'd prefer Maclin, but only on a very reasonable deal

Definitely on board with Stephen Hill being cut. I would like to bring in a project wide receiver late in the draft like Brandon Coleman from Rutgers. 6'6 220 and could go vertical. Have him replace Stephen Hill. No way Stephen Hill cracks the top 3 on the depth chart next season anyway. Well barring a miracle.

why would we cut Stephen hill? he isn't expensive and he still has ability. if we improve the weapons where Hill isn't counted on to start and can just be a deep threat he could be big for us.

why would Maclin take only an incentive based contract for 2-3 years? you may as well hope he takes a league minimum with zero guaranteed money for 5 years if we aren't discussing it from a realistic stand point.

whatever ability he has, we haven't seen it on Sundays unless it's against a Bills uniform. To go that long without catches was insane, even after being demoted. We need to upgrade the position and that includes the depth chart.

I agree that there is no reason to cut Hill unless his injury flares up for a third season and we find bodies that can take his place. He is 100% potential but shown little to this point. Still, cheap is cheap.

it makes no sense to cut him, you don't cut cheap, young talent. he hasn't done anything yet but he has talent to be pretty good. another year in this system, better players around him, better QB play and I expect he will take a major step forward next year.

I would like to see him as our 5th receiver.. Guy gets zero separation.. His route running is garbage... Whoever vouched for this guy in the 2nd round should be hung. He should have been drafted no earlier than the 6th.

And with the attention Maclin will receive from multiple teams, a reasonable deal will not exist. During the first phase of free agency, teams will over pay and Maclin will be part of the first phase.

Let's see what we add in FA and the draft. If we bring in 3 quality WR's between the two, which I believe we should, and Hill isn't lighting it up in the offseason I could definitely see him being cut. When you're the 4th, 5th, 6th receiver on the roster you are expected to be playing special teams and I don't believe Hill does that. Maybe I'm wrong that he doesn't play ST's but I don't recall ever seeing him out there.

There may not be a spot on the roster for Hill going into the season. That's a reason to cut him.

I wouldn't cut Hill this will be his 3rd season. If he isn't productive then you cut him next year.

there is no incentive to cut hill now. he has enough potential and doesn't offer any cap savings at this point. the earliest he will be cut is first cuts in T.C. more realistic is he makes it to final cuts.

The guy can't catch the football and you all still want him on the team... Unreal.

He does not play special teams that is correct. Hill has to prove a lot this off-season otherwise he's getting cut. 2nd round picks have been cut before, Hill would be no different.

Right now there's no incentive, my words may have come off wrong but I am looking more towards TC - If Hill doesn't show marginal improvement at that juncture, he could be a roster cut. The guy doesn't catch, doesn't play special teams - he has a lot of potential, but we've only seen that when he plays the Bills
