As a fan, I want to see Geno either develop into a QB or show us that he isn't good enough to get it done.

Vick helps with none of that. He'll either be a stopgap starter for a year, or a backup that will get a lot of media attention.

Take Martin and put him at the bottom of the depth chart.

    BPA... Vick.

As despicable as Vick is, at least he ruined his own career... for a while anyway.

omg, both these options suck. However, Vick is way too fragile to be the starter & I really can't believe so many people are picking him. If he's the backup & Geno gets hurt early in the season, we finish the season with 7 games of McElroy at starting QB.

Martin is a downgrade for both starters. However, he might be able to provide some depth. Come in as an extra blocker on jumbo sets. Or perhaps he can hold down one of the OT spots if Austin Howard or D'Brick needs to sit for a few plays. If he was a starter, Jets would be in trouble but I'm sure they'll have some options to compensate. Like providing TE assistance or rolling the pocket to the other direction.

I just wanted to point out that McElroy was cut in favor of Simms last preseason and Simms was given another year on his deal.

Either choice would be a waste of a roster spot better used for someone else.

If we had McElroy as QB #3, my thoughts would be the same. I just don't think a team should rely on somebody so fragile to be their starting or backup QB. For any other position on the field, this would be less of an issue. If Vick had the same exact injury history but played another position, I think bringing him in would be a more sound football move.

No Vick, me and many others will not follow the JETS with a convicted dog killer on the team. And no I will not let it go.

Fuck Mike Vick to hell and high water.

I'd take Martin, but I want a real QB.

If I HAD to choose, I'd take Martin because screw Vick.

If it came down to Vick or a quadriplegic, it'd be a tough choice, but I'd have to go with the quadriplegic.

I went Vick, I think he would be good to have pushing Geno to be at his level in MM system.

im absolutely disgusted with the 27 retards that would rather have jonathan martin.

the guy is the definition of a locker room cancer. he got his own teammate, who we all now know was a friend of his, suspended for nothing.

he destroyed a teams season. the dolphins were on the right track up until the incident.

hes a liar who is willing to sell out his own guys to benefit himself.

hes soft. if he was so hurt by all this (which he shouldnt be bc NOTHING WAS WRONG ABOUT ANY OF IT), he should have stood up for himself.

and most importantly, hes a shitty football player who was looking more and more like a wayne hunter turnstyle by the week.

not saying that i want vick, but at this point in time, hes clearly the lesser of 2 evils. vick is and has always been a good teammate. he did what he did, served his time, and has moved on. jonathan martin is still trying to sue everyone and their mother for his emotinal insecurities.

I'm (not "im") absolutely disgusted with someone, supposedly an adult, who believes in 2014 that calling people "retards" is somehow appropriate. Come back when you grow up, Sonny, and maybe you'll get some respect for your poorly written opinions.
