This poll would mean more if it were two players who played the same position. As many have stated elsewhere, the very last thing we need next year is a media soap opera involving Martin. Enough of this already.
I'd really prefer not to have either of them. They're both damaged goods and they both represent a real risk of having talent drop out on the team at a bad moment.
This can't be fairly answered until the Jets go through their FA period. If they don't sign a veteran QB then I would say the definitive answer to this poll would have to be Vick. I don't like him as a long term answer but if Geno somehow struggles out of the gates next season then Vick would be a serviceable backup that could at least steady the ship until the 2015 offseason. He's a stopgap solution but a capable backup.
I understand that but the question is if you had to pick one which would you prefer. I picked these two players since there is controversy surrounding both and I was curious about where fans leaned between the two all things considered.
If we HAVE to pick one it's Vick. Vick has at least seen some success on the field and appears to like competing. Martin does not love football and has some serious emotional issues. He also wasn't very good at his position.
+1. Based on all available information, it's Martin's on-the-field performance issues make undeserving of a contract. Vick, by virtue of having had some success in the league, is better to backup his position than Martin on the OL.
Looks like this thread is nothing more than to settle a petty argument about Mike Vick. That being said, Vick.
My intention for this thread had nothing to do with settling anything. Rarely is anything ever "settled" on the internet. I was curious as to what people thought.
lol eww at the options... But i'll take vick... Martin is a flat out punk. Rex don't like punks. Cept Sanchez
Its funny but I think Vick would be more easily accepted into the locker room. I dont like the guy but I also think he could contribute more on the field. Martin stinks on the field and his teammates cant trust him.
