It was loud last night, I was there and the 12th man literally came out in full force. Those fans were going nuts. But the game became less loud in a span of 5 minutes once the Broncos could not move the ball.
How did it compare to your average Jets home game? Also - do you think it was loud strictly in favor of the Seahawks, or that it just appeared that way because Denver couldn't do a thing?.. I saw a lot of orange in the seats on TV, that's why I ask..
Jets games can get loud, but there was a buzz for this game and it was very loud at the start...But Jets game have reached that peak too...I went to the first game of the season and it got loud. There was alot of orange, but Seahawks fans are loud man...They chanting SEA-HAWKS while taking a piss and were having a good time. I dont think they raised crowd volume or anything either.
You tend to hear more crowd noise on Fox broadcasts then you do on CBS broadcasts which is the channel the Jets usually play on.
I didnt see your post at first haha, but imo FOX turns down the noise, ESPN turns it down the most I think.
When we are @ the stadium we make noise regardless... JETS fans are VERY loud the problem is the games are rarely "Meaningful" to the point where it's a playoff atmosphere. One of the loudest games so far was the gave vs the RAVENS where we sacked Flacco, he fumbled and the fuking stadium erupted past the level you heard last night because it was mostly JETS fans. The games vs the Pats we get pretty loud also Believe me when I say we get loud!
You guys have been great, I remember Giants fans asking why its never loud like Jets game after the Saints game. I think after this game, the fans might up the intensity even more next year.
I've been to 2 games at CenturyLink, and that place is beyond loud. Their fans are passionate as heck, and the 12th man are a big part of the best home field advantage in he NFL. Opposing teams have to game plan just for crowd noise. Don't need to be jelly.
Glad somebody posted this. i'm a season ticket holder who knows full well that our stadium can get loud (pats, saints) but more or less does not get crazy loud- due to the structure/jets sucking/wtvr. I was there last night. I was fully expecting a blah crowd- corporate sponsors, split allegiances..the structure. But holy shit. I have never heard the stadium that loud prior to kickoff. It was absolutely bananas. Actually they did a cool there where they egged on both fan bases until it reached an unbelieveable pitch. I would imagine thats what the warring endzones at shea was like. Anyways. this is all to say, there's no reason we cant become a dominant crowd in this stadium. However, I do have sympathy for the silent - cant deal with this shit anymore- fan..
He is 0-5 in bringing the VLT to the NYJs which makes him many, many levels below brilliant coach as you allege
Carroll was 0-7 at reeling in the VLT before this season. I guess he suddenly became brilliant this year. And if the Hawks lost on Sunday, i guess he'd be just another clueless loser coach who was 0-8 in VLT attempts
With the current playoff setup and the Patriots in our division, we'd have to win 12 games just to get a chance to play a home playoff game. I'm ok i guess with each division winner earning a playoff birth, but i don't think that should automatically gain them a home playoff game. just my opinion..
