Models had the 3 storm week 10 days ago...now this stomr is over performing which leasds me to believe they all will. As you can see above, those accum numbers are held down because of a mix of ice..Lower Hudson Valley could get over a foot with the WEDNESDAY STORM. BROOK: The weekend storm is on..just backed up to Sunday/Monday. Areas from Georgia to Maine could get snows..and heavy snows. And yes, somewhere in there lies 1 to 2 foot blizzard like snows. That will be be not nailed down until the Wednesday storm is done.
Bogus. They didn't call off work but I can't get there. AWD SUVs couldn't even get up the hill outside of my place.
Huge model agreement with this weekends storm except the exact track. The huge question is does it go right up the coast..or does it get to around south jersey and exit right. I do not see that being the case and all signals are this is a huge snow storm for many many states.
I have close to 4 inches up here in Northern Bergen County. Hey Jay- when is this going to stop?!? Or is the heavy stuff coming  _
Between 2 and 4 west to east. The numbers will be slightly lower it seems only because the how heavy the snow pack is. If anyone was has been outside...heavy friggin snow! GQ...Sunny for Saturday maybe...and perhaps Sunday morning...but not by Sunday night bud...ITS COMING. lol.
Yup, just cleared a path off my back patio for my dog to go out this am and the snow was very heavy but underneath the ground was still warm so the bottom layer was pretty much melted. _
So if I have plans in Manhattan on Saturday I should be ok? I'm hoping we get obliterated Sunday. lol
Latest models show Saturday perfect..and Sunday even good..not until at night which would be great for those wanting off work and school on Monday. This storm..if its modeled correctly...could be a twofer. Monday Tuesday off. Now, we look at these models for shits and giggles but the way this one has been on the radar this long? I mean every model has it in a different way but all have it. Some ensemble members of the EURO have a 980 low off of L.I. at peek...some have a low 970s low at the same mark. Those are numbers that are equal to storms that people remember. Again, its Monday...6 days away...but its no longer 10 days away. If the models would ever lose the storm and try to get it back..it would be in the next 24 hours..so we watch.
getting hammered with snow. Two college basketball games postponed (at Manhattan and Monmouth). Funny how it started pretty soon after the Super Bowl
seriously over achieving up here 3" and still climbing if the rest of the week lives up to the hype we will hit 2' no problem
