Again no chance to draft a decent S, OLB or TE (except S-J in round 2), but at least in this draft I had a much better balanced choice of prospects. I'm not wild about the 3rd round pick, but he was the BPA and to get someone useful, I'd have had to reach down 40-50 prospects. I'd love adding the first two picks, but am not wild abouit any of the rest.

    18 WR MIKE EVANS
    TEXAS A&M

    49 WR DAVANTE ADAMS
    FRESNO STATE

    69 DE SCOTT CRICHTON
    OREGON STATE

    80 CB LOUCHEIZ PURIFOY
    FLORIDA

    111 G ANTHONY STEEN
    ALABAMA

    142 RB JEREMY HILL
    LSU

    179 OLB PRINCE SHEMBO
    NOTRE DAME

    210 TE JAKE MURPHY
    UTAH

I racked up many third round picks in this one.

Your score is: 3860 (Drafting Ability: B, Player Quality A, Future Draft Picks: N/A)

    Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 32 (SEA): David Yankey, OG, Stanford (B)
    Round 2 Pick 25 (S.D.): C.J. Fiedorowicz, TE, Iowa (B+)
Round 2 Pick 32 (SEA): Brandin Cooks, WR, Oregon State (A)
Round 3 Pick 16: Dee Ford, OLB, Auburn (B)
Round 3 Pick 17 (MIA): Craig Loston, SS, LSU (A)
Round 3 Pick 20 (ARI): Louchiez Purifoy, CB, Florida (A)
Round 3 Pick 22 (PHI): Brandon Coleman, WR, Rutgers (B)
Round 3 Pick 23 (K.C.): Tre Mason, RB, Auburn (A)
Round 3 Pick 25 (S.D.): JaWuan James, OT, Tennessee (B+)
Round 4 Pick 11 (DET): Jimmy Garoppolo, QB, Eastern Illinois (A)
Round 4 Pick 15: Jeremiah Attaochu, OLB, Georgia Tech (B+)
Round 4 Pick 22 (PHI): Carlos Hyde, RB, Ohio State (A)
Round 4 Pick 24 (K.C.): Devin Street, WR, Pittsburgh (B-)

Round 6 Pick 19: Kirby Van Der Kamp, P, Iowa State (A)
    Round 7 Pick 18: Chris Boswell, K, Rice (A)

Purifoy in the third I thought was a huge steal. Boston brings my score down because of his poor grade, but I think he's a great player.

Round 6 Pick 24 (K.C.): Denicos Allen, OLB, Michigan State (B-)
    Round 7 Pick 18: De'Anthony Thomas, RB, Oregon (B+)

first time I ever had Ebron available, so I couldn't pass on him.

would be very happy with a draft like this and I think it's my best overall score.

no trades in this one, and I think it turned out pretty good.

Your score is: 4119 (Drafting Ability: A-, Player Quality A, Future Draft Picks: N/A)

    Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 18: Eric Ebron, TE, North Carolina (A)
Round 2 Pick 17: Allen Robinson, WR, Penn State (A)
Round 3 Pick 5: Christian Jones, ILB, Florida State (B)
Round 3 Pick 16: Adrian Hubbard, OLB, Alabama (A)
Round 4 Pick 15: Bryan Stork, C, Florida State (A)
    Round 5 Pick 14: A.J. McCarron, QB, Alabama (A)
Round 6 Pick 19: Alden Darby, SS, Arizona State (C+)
Round 7 Pick 18: Jeremy Gallon, WR, Michigan (A)

I think Darby is good value in the 6th. Christian Jones was too good to pass on.

    ROUND 1 PICK 18
    WR MIKE EVANS
    TEXAS A&M

    ROUND 2 PICK 49
    TE AUSTIN SEFERIAN-JENKINS
    WASHINGTON

    ROUND 3 PICK 69
    WR JARVIS LANDRY
    LSU

    ROUND 3 PICK 80
    RB LACHE SEASTRUNK
    BAYLOR

    ROUND 4 PICK 111
    CB TERRANCE MITCHELL
    OREGON

    ROUND 5 PICK 142
    ILB MAX BULLOUGH
    MICHIGAN STATE

    ROUND 6 PICK 179
    S TY ZIMMERMAN
    KANSAS STATE

    ROUND 7 PICK 210
    OLB DENICOS ALLEN
    MICHIGAN STATE

I was pretty happy with this one.

Tried to get us some playmakers, and am pretty pleased with what I came away with. Some people might not like the Seastrunk pick, but was just trying to get another player who can get us in the endzone and I'd already picked a TE and two WR's.

EDIT: Found the First-Pick link on page 6

not the best score, but ended up getting a lot of quality picks and possibly the greatest third round ever. Turner hurt my draft with his grade, but he's projected to go in rounds 3-5 so I figured it was a steal.

Again I didn't get my best score, but this one came out interesting. More defensive than I'd like at the top but I had no trade down options in the first and Ebron was gone so I went BPA.

    Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 11 (TENN): Sammy Watkins, WR, Clemson (A)

Round 6 Pick 19: Aaron Murray, QB, Georgia (A)
    Round 7 Pick 18: De'Anthony Thomas, RB, Oregon (B-)

I really liked the way this draft ended up working out. Sammy Watkins was still available at Tennesses #11 pick. I traded the 2015 first rounder and TB's 3rd rounder to move up and grab him. Kid has serious skill and is what we need on the outside to help Geno succeed. The rest of the draft I went BPA and it turned out pretty nice.

Let me know your thoughts… pretty sure a bunch of you are not going to be happy about trading a future first rounder but Watkins may be worth the price.

As much as I'd love to have Watkins on the Jets, trading an early 3rd round pick AND next year's 1st to move up 7 spots is criminally bad, imo. Watkins has all the athleticism, speed and explosion in the world, but let's not forget that almost 50% of his pass receptions were screen passes. He probably needs work on route running, and may not even have run all the different routes. He's a great prospect, but hardly worth 3 picks imo.

Where's the 5th round pick? Was that included in the deal too, or did you use it to trade up elsewhere?

I don't think the team needs to add 2 RBs in the draft, especially at the expense of adding no DBs or OL. With the exception of Murray, I love each of the players you drafted, and you got amazing value on many of them, but in real life no way Van Noy falls to the 3rd round, and I doubt Amaro falls to the mid-2nd. Also, how did you take Van Noy with the 5th pick of the 3rd round when you gave that pick away in the trade up for Watkins?

Your score is: 4451 (Drafting Ability: A, Player Quality A, Future Draft Picks: N/A)

    Your Picks:
    Round 1 Pick 27 (N.O.): Hasean Clinton-Dix, FS, Alabama (A)
    Round 2 Pick 17: Austin Seferian-Jenkins, TE, Washington (A)
Round 2 Pick 23 (CINN): Cyril Richardson, OG, Baylor (A)
Round 3 Pick 5: Morgan Breslin, OLB, Southern California (A)
    Round 3 Pick 16: E.J. Gaines, CB, Missouri (A)
Round 3 Pick 20 (ARI): Craig Loston, SS, LSU (A)
Round 3 Pick 27 (N.O.): Jared Abbrederis, WR, Wisconsin (A)
Round 4 Pick 15: Jeremiah Attaochu, OLB, Georgia Tech (B+)
Round 5 Pick 14: Jeremy Hill, RB, LSU (A)
Round 6 Pick 19: Aaron Murray, QB, Georgia (A)
Round 7 Pick 18: Kirby Van Der Kamp, P, Iowa State (A)

    ---------------------------------------------------------------

    Top quality FS - check
    Top quality OLB - check
    Top quality CB - check
    Top quality OG - check

These four guys just fell - and I just had to grab them.

I did grab ASJ, AND Loston while at it. Attaochu was my usual OLB double-dip pick. [The only one they didn't like.] Aaron Murray was an insurance pick for QB competition. I didn't like the WR selection out of it - but that was about as good as I could get. FA signing should help here, I think.

I wouldn't be that happy with that draft. IMO WR is a MUCH more important position to address than TE. I don't see Breslin as a top OLB prospect, either. Richardson's a great run blocker, but not pass blocker. I think it would be a year at least before he'd be much help.

I do like the DB picks, Abbrederis, Attaochu, and Van Der Kamp picks and Hill to some extent.

Dee Ford saw a big jump after the Senior Bowl which was maybe a little inflated and he'll likely come down to earth a little bit (i.e. not a first round pick) but I doubt he's available in the 4th round. If so we'd be stupid not to take him.
