If they gave the award at mid season, then Alonzo would've deserved it.. But he wasn't as dynamic in the second half of the year. Teams found his weakness, he over-pursues..not saying he won't fix it, just that they got him in the second half and Richardson was great throughout the year, hence the award

Richardson is just an absolute freak. This pick could go down for John Idzik as his legacy defining pick. Richardson is one of the most athletic defensive lineman you will ever see. That play where he chased down Cam Newton was unbelievable. He can't get a big head and think he is above everyone now that he won this award, but he looks like he could become a special player.
