No. He's a distraction but worst of all he stinks. They're backup was a significant improvement over him. Straight awful Olinemen.

The guy is just not good enough to deal with everything else that will come with him.

Shocked the poll is so close. No idea why you bring this guy in. Austin Howard is better anyways.

Id rather Incognito because he's a better football player.

    It is very simple, people.

Don't let his past behavior with Dolphins cloud your judgement. Follow the easy steps below:

    1. Is he an upgrade to Austin Howard? Yes/No -> If Yes, continue to 2, If No, Go to End.
    2. How much is he going to play for? Reasonable [less than 5m/yr] -> 3, If Not, Go to End.
    3. What are you waiting for? Go get him.
    End: He can fuck off.

P.S. If Jets had an OL coach worth a damn, it wouldn't be this hard. It would be a slam-dunk YES. With the way this locker room is now, if they can somehow nurture the talent in this kid, he will be a very good contributor - no doubt about it. He was drafted in 2nd round for a reason; at least he has to have the measurables. That's a very good starting point. Now - Jets OL coach remains the same, I believe? Mike Devlin is back - or that was what I thought I read a few days ago. As such, I have no confidence in this team nurturing talents. At least not on offensive side of the football. As it stands this way, I voted for NO this time.

Would he be that much of an upgrade on what we already have? Probably not and just imagine the circus that his signing with the Jets would create in the media.

I also wonder if he really has what it takes to make it in the NFL and I don't think we take that risk.

    Thanks but no thanks!

Anyone who attacks his teammates in the national press, without first going to them and explaining his grievances, is not someone you can trust. I wouldn't let him withing 100 miles of the Jets facility. Anyone who signs Judas would have to be the world's biggest idiot; which means he's likely to go to whatever team Tannenbaum winds up on. Or that Schotty is begging for him in St Louis.

No offense to him as a player or a person, but I don't want the drama that would come with him. Same goes for Incognito. The NY and national media wouldn't be able to let it go.

If he thought Richie Incognito was bad, wait till he faces Jets fans.

lol he got bulldozed by Aldon Smith last year if I recall correctly and everybody was making fun of him for a while. I think he got butthurt after we signed Bryant Mckinnie to play LT and we kicked Martin over to RT and he couldn't handle it and made up this whole "bullying" thing to save face.

Dead on. He participated in numerous stunts like stealing another player's car and also participated in the "standing up from the lunch table" stunt aimed at other teammates, but when it was aimed at him that supposedly sent him over the edge. What an ass clown. Never told the HEAD coach, which knowing how Philbin is would have been the guy to go to, about his issues but expected everybody to know he was not okay with it.

Like I have said all along, it annoys me how certain people in the media try to act like this isn't common throughout the league when just a couple years back we saw video of Giants players dumping JPP in an ice tub. It is only the holier than thou types who are trying to act like the NFL lockerrom is like a normal workplace.

Hell no. I don't think any other team will want him either. If he has elite talent, then you have to question if you want the baggage that comes along with it. He is nothing special though, so a definite no from me.

He would have to become a free agent first. I don't know if he has any kind of trade value at all but he's still under contract with the fish.

I vote no specifically because I'd rather have Austin Howard back, he is promising, young, he won't be expensive, and he will bring continuity to the line. Besides, why bring in the media baggage that comes with a player like him? I wouldn't have a concern about a similar situation occurring if he did join the Jets, because Brick and Nick are two of the classiest o-linemen around and are the vet leaders.

Have no problem with the Jets giving him a tryout but just can't see him beating out D'Brick or Austin Howard for starting RT or LT. If multiple teams reach out to him, he should go somewhere he has chance to win starting job.
