Christian Jones is another possibility. I know he's been listed as an ILB on all the draft sites but every time I've watched FSU games this year he's been lined up at DE. He showed some decent coverage skills at the Senior Bowl, too, though James White stiffarming him to the ground was a bit embarrassing.

  2. I've really warmed up to Christian Jones. He can cover, run stuff, set the edge & rush the passer ALL w/ a sense of explosion & athleticism. You can pretty much play him anywhere in the front 7 but he would look best next to Denario for the foreseeable future.

@ NCJetsfan - not insulting you, maybe we have different preferences. I for one would much rather have a QB that has qualities you cannot teach and build off that. Arm strength isn't everything - and that appears to be everything you are basing him off.

Man if we can get Michael Sam or Attaochu, I would be soo soo happy

OK, cool. We can disagree and have different preferences. I agree that arm strength isn't everything, and that should have been clear by my last post. I also appreciate his mental aspects, accuracy and intanagibles. I just think that in order to be as successful as possible, in MetLife Stadium the Jets need a QB with a stronger arm that can make all the throws. Even though Fales arm can get stronger, I don't think he'll ever be able to fire the ball into tight windows, throw deep outs, or successful most of the time on deep patterns. While I know that deeper patterns aren't a staple of most WCOs, they are with MM and I think Rex wants them too, to help keep opposing Ds from keeping 8 men in the box.

We definitely agree on getting Attaochu. I don't think we need another DE, and that's what I'm seeing Sam projected as.

Dee Ford may have played himself into the first round.
