He is the best player for the Blazers. It's been impressive how great he has been, but I don't understand how the team is the most surprising team this year supposedly. I was lost at how they didnt grab a playoff spot last year, and fully expected them to have a decent seed this year. They have a young, and very talented team. Yeah him, and LJ are easily the best 2 players in the league in a land slide. Also, listening to the radio tonight, they were talking about how it's a shame KD doesn't play in a bigger market, because he wasn't one of the top subjects of trending Twitter things...WOW...just WOW.
LA is having a great year, but he's not having a crazy efficient year like Lebron or KD unfortunately. He might get the respectful nod and finish top 5 in the MVP voting. I haven't really looked at who will round it out after Durant and Lebron. Definitely this stretch he is, but if they are neck and neck expect Durant to edge him out. It will be interesting to see if Durant can keep this up with Westbrook out and if Lebron goes into Lebron near the end of the season to make a push
Portland went last year without a bench. They are very talented but they went last year on the cheap. Now they have a bench.
Lakers/Heat started at 8 PM There's no rhyme or reason to this. I planned tonight for the usual 8:10 start (at the earliest), and I found the game had already started.
It would be interesting if there was an additional off court official who could take a look at replays when they go to review it. These guys have a small TV only to look at and can only do one angle at a time. Kerr is discussing this right now since the LAL/MIA game had back to back reviews off loose balls. I think it could really speed up the replay situation
Yeah, it's definitely a better system to have a guy in a booth rather than having the officials go over to the scorer's table.
He scored the last 15 for the Blazers, kind of bummed he didn't get the nod to start for the West, he is having a better year than both Love and Griffin.
Paul George is a superstar within the eyes of the NBA refs. Another touch call late in the game on a 3 point attempt.
Griffin and him are sooooooo close. Aldrige edges him on points less efficiency but better rebounding. Griffin has slightly less points with more efficiency and more assists by more turnovers. Taking into account WS and ORAT/DRAT, the guys are almost identical. It will be interesting to see end of the year, if both they guys keep it up, who gets what on the all NBA teams since those are really about basketball, not popularity like the AS game
Ah man, I'm a Kings fan. I'm used to this shit happening. Such a horseshit call to give him continuation. Should've been two FTs if anything at all. Fuck those refs, were terrible all game. Proud to get that close with all that going against us and without Boogie and Gay.
Pretty excited to win without the top 2 guys. Have the 1 seed some how... woo. It's a pretty intense season. IDK why all the NBA having a down season talk.
I was working tonight following the game, and and soon as I turned it off at SAC 4 point lead, I went to the bathroom, checked my phone for stat reasons, and saw it was going to OT. I about shit myself. I knew it was over then. That's just BS, and sad that they didn't get the W officially. I was working thinking about how much I'd hate to be a Kings fan, and how I could relate, but dude, Kings, AND Jets? .. Damn. Mets guy too?
Yeah at worst it was 2 free throws. There was no foul on the shot attempt. I'm really surprised Rudy Gay got there and went on a mini tear for a while
Don't follow baseball fortunately and my main Australian sports team does alright. But yeah Kings and Jets isn't the greatest combo, they were named the two worst franchises in sport last year by ESPN. Obviously ESPN is full of it but still it said a lot:lol: Rudy has been playing real well, shooting at a really good efficiency. Hopefully when his achilles heals he is in the same form. Also, Golden State needs to fire Mark Jackson at the end of this season. He is not a good coach and he is wasting a lot of guys prime years. That amount of talent shouldn't be playing that badly. Bogut is a beast defensively but he pretty much always benches him in the last quarter, although the last two games he has figured out that it's probably not the best strategy to do that. Iggy has been awful this year as well.
Iggy got hurt and ever since he's come back he's sprinkled in a couple double digit scoring games with a LOT of single digit ones. The Warriors are a playoff team, but not a championship team. Best way to explain how they're playing right now
Durant's incredible week, Isiah Thomas/Marcus going off in SAC, Parson hitting 10 straight 3s in the 2nd half, Aldridge having a career game, Melo's 62. NBA League pass is free trial this week. Clearly one last conspiracy by David Stern before he leaves February 1st.
