DP..we have talked about this..he is a lazy sack of crap. He would switch his mother if it meant not staying with his man.

We have talked about this switching before Chandler even brought it up. No big man wants to cover a guard..no big man wants to cover a guard or can cover a guard.

The only time you switch is if you read an immediate pick and roll to the hoop and then you get more big man help down low.

Im so sick of this team and this coach and this owner..I have had it.

The worst part, the Knicks are the most valuable franchise in NBA over 1 billion AND on top of that they are top 5 in overall attendance this year with home attendance being 100% according to ESPN. So no way the owner goes away.

The worst part, I think Melo is playing some of the most focused ball in his career. It's gotten to the point I feel bad for him and hope he gets out of NY when he can so he can try and vie for a title.

Oh so our lineup with Bargs, Amare, and KMART out?

    Who knows.

I would hope we see Felton, Pablo, Toure, Beno, THJ, Shump, JR, Melo, Tyson, Tyler.

That's a 10 man rotation. Looks like injuries are going to force Woodson into 2 PG and/or small lineups this year. Except now Tyson isn't 100% and nobody can hit a 3 to save their life.

How did the Knicks go from being enjoyable to so damn terrible in a span of 6 months?

And we had any major changes...

For one, Melo didn't have the motivation this year from playing with all around star players in the Olympics. But I think the main thing is Woodson lost all credibility from the team on how he managed the Indiana series. The team just doesn't respect him anymore and aren't playing for him. The Knicks need a new coach but Dolan like an idiot went all in on him

I've been trying to figure out what went wrong myself.

It definitely started with that IND series where Melo, Tyson, and JR were all playing banged up. Shump maybe too. The Knicks then signed JR long term coming off a knee surgery where the market for him did not require that. The Knicks also (rumor Dolan forced it) traded for Bargnani because my guess is that they thought they could use Bargs to stretch the Pacers out and get Hibbert out of the paint. This is why Tyson was working on his midrange jumper all game. In the Bargs trade, a contract nobody wanted, the Knicks were somehow fleeced to give up 3 picks (1 1st and 2 2nds) for him. Then they let their GM go and replaced him with Steve Mills, a friend of Dolan and ex NYK FO member. The IND series made NYK FO think for some reason, they had to beat IND, and that's it. Forget that we swept SA and challenge MIA playing our style of ball, forgot that we blew the doors off of Memphis doing, we had to beat IND at their game, going BIG.

The Knicks then had a suspended/hurt JR, Ray with a hip flexor, Tyson going down all within the first 2 weeks of the season I think. The other problem, they continuously used Bargs at the 4, therefore nullifying the "stretch" advantage they were looking to get with him. They also learned, hey Bargs is just like Amare, can't defend or rebound. The Knicks also got Beno Udrih in a move we all suspected meant to be more like a 2 PG lineup. This never happened.

Then Woodson just kept on taking a flawed lineup and showcased their flaws instead of hiding them.

The Knicks have a flawed roster, limited future, and a coach who is stubborn like D'Antoni. Woodson cites that switching worked last year (it didn't, the Knicks were average defensively last year) and says he will stick with it. The Knicks can't switch, the best guy that makes it work is KMART, that's about it. The Knicks also have a strategy of leaving guys open from 3 point land. This strategy is also not working.

Overall, flawed roster, flawed coaching, meddlesome owner = Knicks season.

I say blow it all up, but the Knicks are still in the playoff hunt because the east is really bad. But in reality, is an 8 or 7 seed worth it to get swept first round and then have Melo potentially walk?

Totally agree..and I always try to wrap my arms around this nonsense of all the vets keeping the team under control last year....huh? Kidd missed his last 300 shots. Thomas went down and that is the game that ignited their late season turn around. Wallace? Are you kidding me?

Chandler is not a veteran with a ring? Melo is not a top 10 player in the NBA? The media makes it sound like we have the youngest team in the NBA...or a total bunch of misfits. Take J.R. out of the equation.

What happened to this team in my opinion is simple. Felton. It starts with the point guard on BOTH sides of the floor. This team needs a leader and a hustler on both sides of the court at the point. Does it make the team a 50 win team again? I dont know..but that guy is poision. There is a reason Portland wanted him out and the fans there despise him. I mean its the NBA...who shows up..a point guard! overweight. He reminds me of a very good used car salesman when I see him interviewed after the game..like he cares so much. What a bunch of bullshit. He is a fraud..and for some reason Woody allows him to get away with it.

Think about all the players who Woody has singled out or had confrontations with and there is one common thread....never Felton. Never benched...never called out..never.

I cant stand the guy..he is a fake and a fraud. Just watch him play defense and FAKE trying to get over the top on a pick. Watch when the switch goes sour and the other team beats it how he looks at the guy on his OWN team and makes hand gestures like it was their fault.

He even on occasion puts on the best act and pounds his chest on OCCASION like...my bad...my bad...but its always his bad.

Think about games point guards have had against this team over the past two years..from great point guards to real no names.

I cant take this team seriously until he is gone.

    ^^ kind of

    http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/f/feltora01.html

Offensive rating last year for Felton was 105 and D rating 108.

This year 97 and 112. He was a slightly below average player per 48 minutes last year and a very bad player per 48 minutes this year according to W/S.

Basically we aren't getting average play from Felton instead we are getting terrible play.

It comes back to Woodson thinking we were actually a top 10 defensive team last year, we weren't. We just slowed the pace down so our PPG looked nice and we were crazy efficient offensively

I had meant to say we had NO major changes...But yeah you all get the point. It's a complete 360 like the Portland Trailblazers of last year. They went the other direction

Melo hit a half court buzzer beater to end the 1st half. Knicks up by 20 I think at half.

Oh Melo has 37 points at halftime!!!!!

I'm gonna go to the Portland trail blazers game. I like what they are doing, and I want to see them play in person.
