I'm supposed to believe that a guy with poor accuracy and average arm strength will suddenly be better post shoulder surgery?

Rex Grossman won 2 home playoff games in a weak NFC, he never led Chi back to a postseason(was hurt most of 2005 when Chi made it w/o him then he started playoff game). Grossman never played in a road playoff game let alone helping his team win one.

don't confuse accuracy w/ comp %, he is an accurate passer. Decision making needs to be cleaned up but your concerns over his arm(though he had above average arm strength) are valid. we don't know.

Pro football reference says that Mark Sanchez had 69 interceptions and 43 fumbles, totaling 112 Interceptions and fumbles.

But you didn't answer my question. What level on another team do you think Sanchez will attain? Elite? Pro Bowl? Top 10? Benched?

Geno is on pace to eclipse that number, you do realize that right?

You do realize that there was an article posted just yesterday that Sanchez would be picked up immediately for a starting gig ( if he's not retained by the Jets ).

If Mark wants to come back, and is willing to do so at a much reduced salary / Hometown discount, Then there is absolutely no reason ( other then people's pride on this board ) to not bring Mark back to compete for the spot.

That's nice but what does any of that have to do with Rex "leading" the Bears to the Super Bowl?

I never confused accuracy with completion percentage. Watching him play for. 4 seasons shows me that he's inaccurate.

yes but he didn't lose all those fumbles, has 89 INts and fumbles lost.

I don't care about PBs, elite and all that stuff. I care about winning, I know we can win w/ him. w/o knowing how his shoulder is for this year and what team he will be playing for it's hard to put expectations on him for 2014 but in the coming years I expect he will be starting in postseason again.

2006 NFC the 2 seed was 10-6, it was awful. He had a great team around him and he did very little unlike Mark who was a big contributor and again he helped them get to one postseason, the year before they made it w/ rex hurt then he took over in postseason. the year before Mark we had Brett favre and couldn't get to postseason.

    the situations are not comparable.

first off that is pure speculation. 2nd, of course those type of teams would be the ones looking for him to start. you think NE wants him to start? Den? but I guarantee you the top teams w/ established QBs will look at him as a backup.

The only difference between the '08 Jets and the '09 Jets was Mark Sanchez. Everything else was the same. He made all the difference.

It wasnt at all, this fanbase is so narrow minded its amazing. They react to single games, single seasons. You have to look at the entire body of work, but don't worry, GMs around the league are aware of what Sanchez has done and he will be playing next season, no doubt.

Why is it that when we have a terrible year it's "as a team" but when we win playoff games the team isn't mentioned?

Maybe you can go root for whatever team he lands on?

Yeah. The good teams, which have sustainable success, are steered by good Qbs.

The Qbs that float around get signed by mediocre teams until those teams find their franchise Qb.

Sanchez is about to float around among weak teams. That's all he is.

The same reason why Sanchez got 0 credit for winning yet all the blame for losing.

So when someone makes a foolish statement the only way to counter that is with an equally foolish statement. Got it.
