'Nova has 1 loss and 2 wins over ranked teams. they are deserving of a top 10 ranking.

Hey there, Full Frontal: "Big East" .... "first game attended" .... any of that ring a bell?

    ^^^^
Because those (among many other references) were spelled out in detail in several previous post of mine.

"Material running out?" junc, what the bleep are you saying at this point? !

Thank you, the talent really took over that game. New Mexico has a bunch of slow bigs and we were able to expose that. A real test will be can we do it against SDSU this weekend.

SDSU is really good, no superstar players but some really solid players. They play really good defense and are well coached. I do however think at times they can be offensively challenged and if they get a go who guys off they could be in trouble.

'Nova getting crushed by Creighton. Just running into a buzzsaw. They're not playing great D but even if they were it'd be tough to stop the way they're playing tonight.

Wow, that's unexpected especially at home. Not unexpected is Virginia crushing North Carolina. Jay Billas: "Virginia is not beating them, they are dominating them!"

UVA calling off the dogs with a couple of minutes to go.

I am sick of this nonsense, close game late first half they don't call an obvious offensive interference, a guy takes a 3 kicks a Carolina player and goes to the line for 3 FTs and every possession Carolina attacks the glass getting hacked w/ no call while UVa goes to the line for touch fouls.

Carolina takes 63 shots from the field w/ only 15 3s.
    UVa takes 54 shots, 20 from 3

    Carolina shoots 12 Fts
    UVa shoots 29

    In ACC play:

    Carolina 309 FGA, 75 3PA, 82 FTA
    opps: 266 FGA, 91 3PA, 129 FTA

    something is wrong here

Really? Is that where we're going here?

    Let's be better than this.

The team stinks but they are getting screwed nightly. last night a UVa player attempted a 3, kicked his legs out(JJ Redick style) kicking a UNC player and he got 3 FTs. It's a joke, Carolina is attempting more shots, less 3s and significantly less FTs. something isn't adding up.

This is what happens to frustrated fans--we see things that aren't happening or we create conspiracies where there are none to explain the seemingly unexplainable.

Did you not hear, every ref and official in the league is out to get the Jets. Week in and week out, they get together and plot how to screw with them? Unclear if this is coming from Goodell, the networks or whether the refs are just doing it themselves.

Come now, we are men of intelligence. This type of excuse making does not become us.

I understand it is just frustrating. I am not saying they win last night or any of the other games but it is getting out of hand seeing touch fouls against them while being hacked like crazy w/ no calls. The team stinks, it needs every advantage it can get.

I would like a fair assesment, why does it seem like Carolina only has a really good team every 4 or 5 years and mediocre one those other years? Is it recruiting, coaching, injuries? They are an enigma of a program and seem to have been since Dean retired.

In Maui CJ Fair got 8 stitches to his face on a no call. You should have heard me scream at the tv. I woke my kids up.

Lately, the refs have started to let them play after beginning the year calling really tight games. The Pitt game was brutal the refs let them play. I just hope they become more consistent.

I noticed that as well. I think this year it has a lot to do with Harrison leaving. The thing to me is Roy Williams seemed to be more consistent in Kansas. Maybe it is just me and I have not looked up the numbers but it seemed that way to me.

SU was like that for a very long time they have just recently found more consistency. I have read that SU has gotten better at defining the recruit that fits JB's system best like J. Grant. I'm not so sure, I think SU has done a good job of keeping an experienced core of guys to mix with the one or two years and done ones. Guys like Fair, Keita, Arinse Onoku, Rick Jackson, and Rautins stayed around and showed the new kids how it is done.

that is a recent trend. even after losing all starters including 3 guys early after then '05 season they got a 3 seed the next year. starting w/ the 2010 team they have struggled more.

2010 was a combo of many things- big time injuries(Zeller, Davis), a recruiting class not ready to step up yet.

2011 they made the elite 8
2012 they had the best team in the Country and a dirty play cost them a title shot when they lost Marshall(after having lost McDonald and Strickland earlier and were forced to play a freshman walk on in the sweet 16 and elite 8 and still nearly made a FF)
2013 lost a bunch of guys early, took some time but eventually became a pretty good team and were underseeded as an 8- should have been a 5 or 6.
this year they weren't expecting to lose Bullock early but even w/ that loss they expected Hairston back but the NCAA stepped in and decided he couldn't play while Johnny Manziel gets a qtr.

the only 2 bad seasons were 2010 and this year and this year they have beaten some really good teams but they are undermanned thanks to the NCAA. Hairston playing and this is a potential FF team.

consistently is all I want, I hate seeing a guy get crushed w/ no call then a touch foul called on the other end.

he went through a stretch in the late 90s/early 00s where they were an 8 seed type program. Then that changed late at KU where he made 2 straight FFs before leaving for Carolina where he had the Heels far and away the best program until 2009 and in reality since he has come back even including the down years the Heels have been the best program but right now they stink.

I was pleasantly surprised when Fair decided to stay because I thought he was going to follow the pattern of being pretty good then jumping a year too early, like Dion Waiters.

BTW we just lost Dujuan Coleman for the year with knee surgery. Not sure how much that hurts as he hasn't been playing any minutes lately but I would love to have had his fouls during the tournament. Hopefully after the surgery he really loses some weight (he already has) and comes back a much better player.
