Guys (Acad & JStokes)....looking to be banned again.......take your little girl fights to another Site.
Since it is not clear what role Smith really played here, it is hard to reach conclusions. But it is likely he did not behave as a professional, and that is a cause for concern.
Well we don't know what happend in the actual terminal so all that is "he says she said"... If he handled it wrong, he probably would have gotten arrested... He didn't, which leads me to believe he was calm throughout. Also in the interview with TMZ, he didn't lose his cool or anything... I thought he handled it pretty well... The kid doesn't get into any trouble so lets give him the benefit of the doubt.
Haha.. As an African American myself, is it wrong that a small part of me wants Geno to succeed because he is black? Of course I want any Jets QB to succeed regardless of color, but the fact that there have been very few successful black QB's in NFL history, makes me root a little harder for Eugene. Don't worry I am not racist... I am half white and half black so don't come in here with no racist comments.
it would only be racist if you said you hated white quarterbacks. wanting someone to succeed in a position that few are able to even achieve because of their race is completely normal. hell im white and i feel the same way
He got kicked off his flight. I don't understand the take that says he handled it well. Could he have handled it WORSE, and gotten arrested? Sure, but that's not the standard here. You were the one who said he handled it well. Before you said you don't know what happened.
some reports are that he walked off the flight to go speak to a supervisor. but since that report doesn't portray a negative light it has gone mostly ignored in this thread
When you're dealing with authority figures who have undisputed control of the situation you do whatever you have to do to get through the incident and then you report it later. How Geno got kicked off the plane is not clear. That he got kicked off the plane is not good. Not getting arrested means the situation didn't degenerate into an out of control situation and that's good but Geno really shouldn't have gotten to the point of a confrontation with a steward/ess anyway. When you're QB of the NY Jets you're a high profile person. You've got to be able to manage that well or you're going to wind up where the last 3 QB's have been, on the front page of TMZ and not for good things. It's not fair that Geno has to live his life under constant scrutiny and has things that would go mostly unremarked for a normal person blown up and held over him all the time but it is reality that this is the case. Seriously, Geno's been in the news twice already in the off-season for inauspicious events in his life. It's only January. At the rate he's going he's not going to make it to training camp. Time for him to put the serious lock on his public image and start being above reproach. Again, it's not fair but he's very high profile right now and he has to manage somehow or things are going to get managed for him.
Shows me he hasnt been put on the spot by the coaching staff after his last media bungle. The next few months will show how smart he is.
The BS Sanchez "butt dance" and Geno's alleged "dong shots" are one thing, and generally speaking out of their control. Both in the privacy of their own home should be able to do whatever the hell they want. They should just do a better job of picking their acquaintances. This however is nothing like that. I've flown plenty of times, and never once been asked to leave. Sanchez went 4 years without getting into any kind of trouble like this. Pennington never had any trouble with the media at all. This isn't about the NY media. The only thing this shows me is this "kid" still has a big f'ing head. You'd think it would have deflated a bit. When you're being told something by someone of authority you listen. It's not like they told him he couldn't have any in flight peanuts... It's common knowledge that you need to turn this kind of stuff of when boarding a plane and if you're totally ignoring the flight attendants ( who are just trying to do their jobs ) you deserve to be treated with the similar amount of respect ( none? ).
Google it. Today, Virgin issued an apology to Geno and says he is welcome to fly with them again. Exonerated.
