Probably the 3rd biggest win in franchise history(behind the 2 in the '68 season). I can't believe it's been this long since we played in and won a big game but let's share some happy memories rather than dwell on what has happened since. After that game, me and my girlfriend were watching Tom Brady's press conference, smiling with glee... She turned to me and asked me, "wanna go to Pittsburgh".. Needless to say, we are still together and she has watched every jets game with me since.
Definitely the highlight of my fandom. Such a nasty road win. Kind of sad that's what I hang my hat on.
I went to Pitt. God awful day. And the so called "great fans" in Pitt were merciless assholes. But it was a great season.
I was at both games, I didn't have any issues during the game w/ Pitt fans and the NE fans were great. I was shocked but a lot of times it is pot luck depending on where you are sitting.
It didn't start out that way. On our first drive mark missed an open man on 3rd down which would have given us a 1st down in NE territory then NE moved the ball w/ ease until the INT by Harris. That INT changed everything, after the Pats were going down the field w/ ease there was a feeling of continuation from the last game but that moment changed everything. of course after Folk missed the chip shot the feeling wasn't quite as good but we pretty much took over from that point. so many big plays in all phases, just a great win.

not really b/c NE got the ball at their 20 after the missed FG so it was more like we tried to down it at the 1 but our player stepped on the line making it a touchback:grin:
One of my favorite games I have seen the Jets win. I was so happy that day. I couldn't stop smiling that whole night.
+1 I remember all the hype about the "mighty Patriots" who had "ground the Jets into dust" just a few weeks prior (which they had, really), and that the Jets should just stay home and not bother to travel for this game. Guess that didn't last long. Folks in Boston are still ticked off about that game. Most people put this as their second worst loss (after the 07/08 SB), even worse than the other SB loss or the AFCCG losses. It's so much fun rubbing it in with my buddies there Then they remind me that our 2 back-to-back AFCCG losses are "successes" but their 3 back-to-back-to-back AFCCG (and 1 win) are "failures", and I remember why it sucks to be a Jets fan
That is a wonderful picture of Belicheck. I hadn't seen it before. What a wonderful win that was. Was watching at my dad's and the DirecTV went out just as halftime started and we all RAN to the car to go somewhere else to watch the game. We missed the kickoff of the 2nd half and that was it. What a game it was!
true, but unfortunately, the thanksgiving infamous " buttfumble" game took away all the positive karma from this game. we need to win the division, and soon, to restore karma to the universe.
