Well SJU's season is OVER. Lost to Depaul. Haha, what a joke. I am complete shock that this team is 0-4 in the BE. I really thought they would challenge for the BE title. I haven't been this disappointed since Norm was here.
some great action today. Indiana upset Wisconsin and Arkansas beat Kentucky in a wild overtime game. Arkansas chucked a 3 to try to win it, which was terrible, because they had over 9 seconds to get a decent shot, but Kentucky failed to block out, and the ball was dunked back in with .2 seconds remaining. Kentucky down 2 then had to chuck it the length of the court and the ball ended up in the scoreboard (rolling around on the hog symbol) :lol:
I'm not impressed with the quality of play this year. One and Dones are killing college bball. I've watched all the top teams and I gotta say there's some weaknesses on everyone. Not much of a jump between the Michigan Sts and the Arizonas of the world and the UMasss and the St. Louiss and the San Diego Sts of the world. I would not be surprised if this is the year for a surprise, non-BCS winner.

You're the out-of-region front runner I'm the "support your local sheriff" loyalist, so I don't know where you're coming from. I've stated previously the 'teams' I root for. As for my own alma mater, it gets confusing because they suspended the baseketball program for many years (not enough interest; we were a football school, still are) so I'm not really attached to a basketball legacy that really wasn't in existence when I was there. I'm going to say this: I am not going to be one to sit here and pretend that the Big East is nearly the quality as it was in past years. However, Villanova's out of conference VICTORIES combined with their conference definitely justifies their ranking. Surely even junc will back me up on this one. Notice I said VICTORIES and not SCHEDULE. You should not get credit for merely scheduling a tough out of conference schedule, you need to win those games, unless you are Gonzaga.
