Ebron would be awesome. Benjamin could be gone by our 2nd Rd pick. I'm a Loston fan and believe he would be a good addition in our secondary. Hurst got hurt in the bowl game, good value in Rd 5 Allen is undersized, but a hellva a football player, he's always around the ball. FWIW, I think Reed is done with the Jets.
I like it. Dont think Benjamin makes it that far, but I'd take it. Love the FA signings as well. Guard needs to be addressed.
That'd be a big talent upgrade for the Jets. I expect them to take 2 WR's in the draft, 1st or 2nd and maybe a 3rd rounder as well, maybe a later pick for the second WR. Also, I don't expect them to add a guard in both the draft and veteran free agency. One or the other I think.
Why would the Jets bring back Reed? I hope one of the compensatory picks allows the NYJ to take an extra safety if necessary. Hopefully a FA can be signed. Seeing S'ua-filo slip to the 3rd would be glorious. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
Why not take a guard in the draft AND free agency. You need depth at the OL position. Imagine if Colon or Mangold went down this year, who would have stepped in??? vlad---god forbid.
Colon is old and winters showed some promise but nothing to make you think we are set at the guard position for the next 5-7 years.
I just don't see the Jets adding a lot of value at guard next year. They'd have to be giving up on Winters if that was the case. I expect them to add one solid guard or guard prospect before the season. Then they'll have three or four guys competing for the two spots assuming that one of the Jets depth guards steps up and joins the competition.
I don't get the love with Golden Tate. Not only here, but on multiple websites many Jet fans seem to love this dude. IMO he's definitely not a #1, and I don't even like him much as a #2. Honestly, I'd much rather go for Hakeem Nicks, who's shown that he could play as a #1. I'd even rather get Britt over Tate. Other than that though, I like it.
WRs are better found in the draft in my opinion. I hate the idea of spending a lot on a position that is so reliant on QB play. I just don't think any WR not named Calvin or Larry really warrants the price tag they would command... Especially guys like Nicks or Tate. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
I agree.. If we don't use one of those 3rd rounders to move up in the first, it should go to a QB.. Bring a rookie QB in every year until we are 100% positive our franchise QB is on the roster.
I would agree if we had a talented team. We shouldn't be moving up, and we shouldn't be reaching for QBs. Get the talent up, make a young talented team, and then go all out for a QB.
I'm not crazy about Tate. I know a lot of people want him and he would be an upgrade but I'm not too sure about him and he also has a questionable attitude. I can see it now if things don't go well, him shitting on everyone thru the media. He seems like that type of guy.
And Calvin and Larry, who are great WR's, don't win all that much anyway because if you're spending that much money outside the hashmarks you're going to lose to teams that have their cap better spaced out over the field.
i really don't like kelvin benjamin, nothing on his tape impresses me. he's literally a stephen hill 2.0 except slower
