There was a fourth play also that defined the day. It was the third play the Colts ran on offense when Luck was picked off and gave the Pats the ball on the Colts 2. That play changed the complexion of the game and put the Colts in an early hole that they never dug their way out of.
If it comes down to Seahawks vs Cheaters...you pretty much know the ending 16 pass interference, defensive holding and roughing the passer calls against the Seahawks Zero offensive holding calls on the Cheaters despite Solder and Cannon bulldogging, tackling and facemasking defenders on every single snap The usual fix by the crooked zebras
I don't care if he's at home or not. Peyton Manning outdoors in the cold is going to lose to the Patriots.
Do you think it would be better if the Pats won Superbowl this year?Maybe they won't try as hard next year and we can steal division, maybe Brady would retire lol
The cry baby talk in here, while expected, is pathetic. I'm not going to call out anyone in particular, but grow up guys. I understand calling the Patriots cheaters makes it easier to cope, but I'm assuming most of you are grown men. You should have already developed other coping mechanisms to help you get through the pain (?) of living in the shadows of the elite. A few notes from yesterday's game: - Just saw on ESPN, first time in playoff history an RB had 125+ yards and 4 TD's - Brady's 8th AFC championship game. Career playoff record is now 18-7. .720 winning percentage is slightly below his .775 career regular season record Regarding today's games, I'm not sure whether to believe the hype of the Eagles home opener trend (Chargers) or the more logical (Broncos). I'm rooting for the Panthers in the other game because I feel like the Patriots will be able to beat them in a cold weather game.
Obviously wanted the Colts and they lost, kinda of was leaning towards the Saints and they lost. My dad likes the 49ers so I guess I will pull for them and I respect Manning too much to cheer against him (plus makes Eli look even more inferior to Peyton). So, with that said, get ready for a Pats vs Chargers AFC Championship and Panthers vs Seahawks NFC Championship. In other words a Pats vs Seahawks Super Bowl. *rage vomits*
I never said the safety was an incorrect call. I'm saying that a ridiculous lucky chain of events resulted in the safety rather than the Colts scoring a TD or getting the ball on the 2. The ball came to rest at the 2. The punter picked it up surrounded by 3 Colts. He tried to do something with it and one of the three Colts batted the ball out of his hands, which for some reason were up by his helmet, and the ball was batted hard enough to travel all the way out of the end zone. It was an incredibly fortunate series of events for the Pats, who always seem to be on the favorable end of such plays in the post season.
Maybe so but a little birdy is tweeting in my ear that if Tom Brady only throws 75 passes over a three game stretch the odds are really good that he is hurting and that the Pats have done a masterful job of covering that fact up. I think there's a real chance Brady is ineffective after the first half next week if he's playing in Denver against the Broncos pass rush.
If lots of plays went differently, the game would have turned out differently? No Shit! The Pats were just the better team, period.
the Colts gave up 40 points in each playoff game. a few bad calls didn't lose this game for them. the most dumbfounding aspect of that play was the dumbfuck announcer saying the punter should have avoided the safety, and it would have been better off to give the Colts the ball at the two (practically guaranteeing 3 points at the least, but risking 7) and take your chances trying to stop them. how fucking stupid do you have to be not to believe 2 points there is better than giving up 3 or 7. holy shit.
^Lol I know. He kept acting like it was a given that after giving up the safety that the Colts would march right down and get a TD.
I'm not sure about him hurting. I think he's fine, the run game is just getting the job done. And they let Brady throw up 21 late in the game where he got strip sacked. I don't buy that he's hurting.
He first has to get through the chargers and manning tends to disappoint in the playoffs Sent from my LG-LS720 using Tapatalk
Nope all our chances are the Eagles home opener streak. Actually interestingly enough ,two streaks go head to head here. The 8 (maybe 7 can't remember) year streak of playing the NFC East + Patriots in the regular season gets you a SB win, or the 4 year streak of playing the Eagles in the home opener gets you a SB win. We will see which one prevails today. It would be like if the Broncos were on the SI cover and the Chargers on the Madden cover. Two great forces meeting each other to decide the fate of the NFL playoffs
Maybe so, I still think there's more there than meets the eye. He's the right age to be banged up at the end of the season and he's taken a few really good hits lately. I think the decision to run the ball as much as the Pats are right now is to reduce the hits on Brady as much as anything else.
Maybe, they could get away with it next round also. The Broncos D has been bad and the Chargers D has improved from bottom of the barrel to average. Looks like instead of grabbing the Haynesworth or OchoCincos of the league, Bill should just grab whoever TB doesn't like to create a good team.
