Haha no, I hate listening to Barkley discuss the Knicks. I either have to listen to Marv Albert throwing shots at the Knicks all game because Dolan fired him or Reggie Miller talking about he never pushed off and killed the Knicks by going 3-3 against them in the playoffs all game. I don't subject myself to Barkley on top of that.

I did read at a Knicks site Charles was trying to talk down the win as usual.

The thing is, we're one of those dreadful teams too haha

Knicks have more talent than those teams, poor start aside

I can agree there, I just don't want to get my expectations too high. I'm dreaming for the 8 seed right now

He can make it sound so sincere, but the con never ends. J.R. Smith was raised in a suburban, middle-class home with two good parents and access to an excellent education. He had a tremendous high school coaching mentor – Dan Hurley at St. Benedict's Prep in Newark, N.J. – and he has long been taught the difference of right and wrong.

Smith's always loved to play the part of a tough city kid, but truth be told, he's a soft, spoiled suburban jump-shooter.

Totally agree. The Knicks need to get the 6 or win the division.

If I were Woodson, I would sit him as long as possible. I would prefer to find out what we have in Hardaway. The kid is a good kid..with great pedigree. He listens...he will NEVER be a problem. He can shoot the 3. He can play defense but hasnt caught on to NBA defense yet.

I would let Smith rot away. Im so sick and tired of guys like that...that are given 3...4..5 chances after acting like a complete asshole. The saddest part is that if he ever got his head completely straightened out, he would be a tremendous NBA player..not just good. I just dont ever see it happening.

Now is the time to make a run...I know we have Miami once in the next approx 8 games but this schedule coming up is as good as it will get. Must beat Philly tomorrow..and roll from there. Got to win 6 of 8. Want to have a chance to get to 500 in the next 25 or so games...it starts with this stretch.

    Philly A
    Phoenix H
    Charlotte A
    Indiana A
    Clippers H
    Brooklyn H
    Phili H
    Charlotte H
    Lakers H
    Boston H
    Cleveland H
    Miami H

Before playing Miami, I would like to see them go 8-3 in that stretch. That should be doable. If they are really on the right track now.

Was wrong about the schedule but still...3 or 4 tough ones in here but still...tons of home games and a lot of winnable ones.

Yep about what I'm thinking. It would be nice to get Tyson back in time for IND.

Of course, the Knicks have their first winning streak of the season and the Nets do it at the same time. They've won 5 in a row now and beat the Heat as well. The season is far from over. By the end we'll probably have Knicks and Nets a couple games apart fighting for the division title.

Knicks close the half on a 25-6 run. JR is 4/4 with 4 assists

JR looks really good tonight. Hopefully that benching got his head right.

Well, this looked like what we expected from the team.

    A good win

    Chris Herring ‏@HerringWSJ 10s
JR, on what he's learned: "To be serious. Be professional. And to look at this opportunity and not take it for granted."

very solid win..and hopefully Smith gets it now. He said something interesting and it sounds like it came directly from Woodson and maybe it will stick. Saying what DP quoted....Chris Herring ‏@HerringWSJ 10s

You see so many of these attitude guys with talent get the bolded part too late in their careers. They become better people and teammates when their talent starts to go downhill.

This guy is loaded..loaded with talent. You just hope he fully understands that you cant take a 10 to 12 year career for granted. You just cant do it. A on top of his game J.R. Smith makes the Knicks a much better team.

Agreed Jay, he's an enigma, but they need secondary scoring and he has talent

JR under control is exactly what the Knicks need. Timely buckets, good passing, can handle the ball, and play decent defense.

Also, Pablo should be close to coming back. I would think that means Murry's minutes go down and Tyson coming back sends KMARTs minutes down I think.
