I watched most of the game last night and UNC are like Jekyll and Hyde. They were nothing like the team I saw against MSU or Kentucky. They were not into playing D last night. Miami got great shots inside the lane for most of the second half. I have to believe that they will be up for the SU game. The dome will be rocking with something like 34,000 fans there. UNC will not be intimidated by that, It may even help them get into the game. As I said SU tends to wear teams down and then go on runs. look for SU to up the pressure in the second half. I think this will be a close game.
On my way up to Cuse tomorrow am with my freshman son, we have an invite to watch the Orangemen practice on court tomorrow and a meet and greet with Boeheim at the Carmelo Anthony Center at 3 then tix to the game behind the bench on Saturday. Hopefully I'll get some good pics. _
Well, since they are probably sending UNC to practice at Manlius Middle School, that's not happening! _
Interesting article about the Heels history in the Carrier Dome http://www.goheels.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=3350&ATCLID=209368409
I was at that game in 1983, had seats at mid court 10th row. UNC was the best team in the country then, was great seeing Jordan live. We were not anywhere close talents wise. _
I'm not sure any team has been close talent wise to that team. No shame in losing to Carolina w/ Sam Perkins as a senior and Michael Jordan as a junior
Amazing how Duke and UNC both start 1-2 the year the ACC accepts a couple good Big East basketball programs into the conference.
Great game really fun time. Met Boeheim (as grumpy as you'd imagine), on court for practice, tour of the Carmelo Anthony Center, tour of locker room, on court for pregame warm ups, met some players. Really really cool, the access we were granted could not happen at the Garden or a pro stadium. Game was a blowout, we were just to athletic and tough for UNC- they are a horrible shooting team. Couldn't keep up with us and Cooney wasn't shooting well, it could have been much worse. CJ Fair is the real deal and Jerami Grant is an athletic freak, can jump out of the gym. I'll post some pics tomorrow. _
Lol, you've obviously not seen my picture from the "I played football at MetLife" thread  No, I'm a 5-3 7/8ths white guy, but I was the starting goalie for the club hockey team from 1978-1981. _
