Dalton is the worst QB in the playoffs but the QBs this year in the playoffs are pretty strong. Eli missed the playoffs so we don't have to see him, and he's not top 10 Manning, Rodgers, Brees, Brady, Russell Wilson, Luck, Rivers... The best QB to miss out was probably Homo but he might've made it had he not missed the last game.
#12 is still not that bad. If you have a competent QB you can win the Super Bowl. There are about 16 QBs in this league that have the potential to win the Super Bowl imo. I mean look all 12 in this years playoffs have a chance then I can list at least five more guys that arent in the playoffs that are surely capable of winning the Super Bowl: Eli Ben Matt Ryan Flacco Romo I dont think Daltons the greatest but I dont think hes a guy you absolutely cannot win with either.
I think McCoy would've held onto the flag had he had 30 more seconds or so, but Cincinnati was hurrying to the line.
Average is enough, average can get you in, now he just has to get streaky like the rest of the recent winners.
Pretty much but Sanchez got screwed and lost the production he got from Cotchery, L.t., Edwards, Holmes. Sure some aged but they are never replaced. What happened to Sanchez would be like the equivalent of stripping Flacco of Boldin, Smith, and Ray Rice. I doubt Flacco succeeds if he lost all of em. Heck he lost Boldin and took a step backwards. The run game wasnt good either, the result was 8-8.
big gain and the clock moves to the 2 minute warning that was great for Cincinnati now they can score and also there won't be much time left
of course it can my point was that he's not terrible like some people want to imply. He's middle of the road.
Folks need to get it out of there head that you need this "elite" qb to win the Super Bowl. You dont, all you need is a competent one that can make plays when needed and have a good postseason. Like I said, there are at least 16 QBs fully capable of winning the Super Bowl right now. And if one of them does it just means they had a good run and it doesnt make them "elite" if they do.
I don't know if you were referring to me -- I never meant to mean Dalton was terrible -- I was trying to state how awesome the Bengal Offense would be with a top tier guy.
He is middle of the road, he has plenty of talent around him. He will never lift a team but he can play the role of like Eli Manning and just go along for the ride and put up 17 points in the Super Bowl and win it.
You're right the Jets did Sanchez no favors by getting rid of players like Cothcery and Edwards and not replacing them with players of greater or equal value.
Definitely a fumble, but knowing the NFL and what "catches" are, I wouldn't be shocked if they overturn this
I think recent QBs proved that. You can go back to older SBs that proved it as well (Dilfer, Brad Johnson, and many more), but even for teenegers who have only followed the NFL for 7 years or so, they saw Eli win it twice, Roofiesberger win it twice, and Flacco win it.
