http://www.fbschedules.com/nfl-14/2014-new-york-jets-football-schedule.php Home Games: Buffalo, Miami, New England, Denver, Oakland, Chicago, Detroit, Pittsburgh Away Games: Buffalo, Miami, New England, Kansas City, San Diego, Green Bay, Minnesota, Tennessee So our out of division opponents are Denver, Oakland, Chicago, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Kansas City, San Diego, Green Bay Minnesota, and a Tennessee. Holy crap, who did we piss off?
No one. Outside of 2 games (I believe Pittsburgh and Tennessee), all of your games were determined years ago. The other two games are based on 2013 record.
the schedules are set. there are only 2 games based on your record the prior year(Titans, Steelers) the other 14 games are set in stone every year
I'd say it's favorable. None of the NFC North opponents have good defenses. That's a plus. Pittsburgh at home is not bad and going to SD is not a huge challenge.
Looks tough, but if the Jets are good next year, they will get the job done. Wouldn't a damn division title be nice?
Who really scares you besides Denver?Green Bay possibly ?we have proven many times we can beat NE ,I like our Chances against Detroit at home ,injurys happen so I won't read much into schedule until the preseason starts our roster isn't done being formed yet
Pretty tough but could be worse. Kind of wish we had home games against teams like Tennesse, Minnesota and San Diego as I think it would improve our odds of winning those games...pretty confident we won't beat Denver or Chicago despite home field advantage so rather they be away games if we're going to lose anyway. I think we would have a shot at Pittsburgh and Detroit at home, though, so that helps.
So we get the Raiders at home again... but we do have some tough road games. @ Green Bay , @ SD and @KC all playoff teams. I think the Vikings move into their new stadium next year so I would hope we don't draw the week they open it up.
Vikings will be playing outdoor football at the Univ of Minn the next 2 years, while new stadium built. it's a shame the new stadium won't be an outdoor arena, like the Wilf's wanted. The city insisted it be a dome in order to provide funding. but the next 2 years should be fun for this novice Vikings fan to enjoy outdoor Minnesota football, the way it should be played..
They are actually playing in the University of Minnesota stadium next year. The year after too I believe.
i try to do 1 road trip a year, which usually ends up being Miami.. Green Bay a real nice possibility this year!
Wooo playing the NFC North should be fun. I enjoy watching all those teams when they are on TV. Wonder how many primetime games we get.
As a Jets fan anytime you see Pittsburgh on the schedule you should be cringing........it doesn't matter which team is good and which is bad - we usually lose...it just doesn't matter.....
That's going to be 4 rough games....although historically the Jets have fared well in most seasons when we played the NFC North/Central. The Jets series record vs the Vikings is 8-1 and they won't have the dome advantage this year.......the Bears always seem to give us trouble though....
The NFC North is pretty mediocre. At least two of them have mediocre offenses and/or defenses. The AFC West is pretty tough, but I don't expect KC to be as good next year.
