I hope it doesn't fall that way for us but if Lee, Watkins, Evans and Ebron are all gone it would be between Amaro and Clinton-Dix for me. If it looked like Amaro might be available a few spots back I would consider trading back a few spots and picking him up if possible.

We need safety help so getting possibly the best safety in the draft wouldn't be a bad thing by any means and we can then focus on WR/TE/OLB and whatever else for the rest of the draft. Probably get a decent WR in the 2nd and a TE and OLB in the 3rd.

I know it's not the smart way to approach a draft but just the optics of picking another defensive player with our first round pick kind of rubs me the wrong way.

Clinton-Dix would be a good pick if the offense wasn't devoid of talent.

HaHa ClintonDix is not worth the 18th overall pick - I would be extremely pissed. HaHa ClintonDix got worked on last night by Jalen Saunders.

Hell LaMarcus Joyner from FSU could be a better prospect.

ClintoxDix should be a 2nd round pick.

Also, just noticed: you have us at 17 but we're picking 18. Dallas is too high, didn't check the rest of it as I'm far too lazy but thought you should know incase you wanted to fix it.

Fawk no to Clinton-Dix. If he's there in the 2nd, than mayyyyybe. But definitely not worth the #18 pick.

Would be so pissed to see Lee snatched up just one pick before the Jets. Also, I really like Jordan Matthews. So if the draft broke down this way, I'd be OK with Idzik picking him up in the first round. Think Amaro would also be a really nice pickup.

Now is we're strictly following value, isn't Ifo EkpreOlomu also a solid pick there? I know it will cause mass chaos in everything touching Jets Nation but I think he can be a solid player.

IMO Dennard will go before Gilbert.

ClintonDix is a position of need big time... Plus he has chemistry with Dee...

I only think we go this way if Watkins/Evans/Lee/Ebron are gone though... We will see

I love Matthews too, but taking him in the first would be a bit of a reach unless he moves up the draft boards significantly. If for some screwy reason all the top WRs & TEs are gone at #18, unless Idzik has Matthews rated that highly, I'd rather Idzik trade down lower in the first and see what's available there or trade into the top of the 2nd and take Matthews or another WR. If he's unable to work out a trade down with anyone, then I'd rather him take the BPA at that point, be it an OT, FS, or LB (as long as it isn't a DL). No way they should even consider a DL. I'm not that high on Dix, but could be wrong about him. I don't know anything about the OTs rated as end of the 1st round picks. I'll have to do some research on them. I guess I could live with the pick being a CB, but wouldn't be very happy with that, unless they cut Cro or were drafting his replacement for 2015.

Not the pick unless he can run and catch. If one of the Big 3 aren't there then Amaro should be the pick. He's more fluid than Ebron and a surprisingly good blocker. Instant upgrade to receiving corps. Ebron looks like he's a bit of a project. No more projects in the 1st. Snag Cooks in the 2nd and the Jets got some real playmakers.

Like sef jenkins more than amaro. With a trade down obviously. Or benjamin/matthews at wr and/or shazier lb , not sure what people here think of him though. I know it's the dreaded osu olb but he's a beast.

Position of need yes, but he's not the BPA at 18. Chemistry means nothing here, if we draft a S later in the draft they can develop chemistry in TC.

Amaro is arguably better than Ebron. They are like 1a and 1b at this point. Id gladly have him over Clinton-dix. I dont think a safety should be chosen high unless they are Earl Thomas or Eric Berry (when healthy). Clinton-Dix isnt very close to that IMO.

I frankly dont feel that one of the stud 3 WR will fall to us... I dont see us trading up either... If by chance one does... Thats our pick hands down!

I think we can land a solid WR in the FA market (Decker,Tate,Nicks) BUT there are not a plethora of FS and i'm not sure i want old man Reed back.

I like Amaro and Seferian-Jenkins isn't that bad either... I just feel they are concerned more about our FS position!

Cumberland and Winslow are much better options than Reed

Who knows maybe we throw a brinks truck at Jimmy Graham lol

bottom line we are in a better spot at TE than at FS and considering we have drafted a D player in the first round the last 4 years... I think ClintonDix is a REALISTIC choice moving forward!

Dix is not a first round talent. Stop trying to fill needs in the draft and go for the best player available. Drafting need over talent is a very ad idea.

Would have no problem taking Clinton-Dix, as long as WR is addressed in Free Agency (Decker, Fitz, somebody else), and as long as Lee/Watkins/Evans are all gone by the time we pick. Then grab a reciever in the second and tight end with one of the third rounders... We need a safety bad and this kid HaHa can ball.
