I like the mindset of both Leg and NC, doesn't have to be a world beater but we need to sign a young smart safety or draft one, the first quality Rex likes in his safety is smarts make no mistake about it. Second would be versatility, he blitzes enough so that his safeties MUST be able to communicate with the rest of his secondary and let them know their assignments based on offensive alignment. Both of these qualities are extremely hard to find in young players so that's why Rex has had so many vets playing the position. I truly believe Antonio Allen is ready for the starting SS job next year though and he's earned it let's just hope he's cerebral.
You never know, what is the cap room situation for the Saints? They did let Bushrod go last year when most thought they wouldn't, that Bree's contract is steep.
