Stokes, we won our bowl game, came back from 20 down to Villanova, and are trying to knock the Dolphins out of the playoffs.

    Lighten up =)

Again, why do you feel the need to protect other posters. Any arguments I picked or were picked with me were with posters more than capable of defending themselves.

You decided to start with the insults, douchebag.

When you have a bean counter/attorney making your draft picks, then yes, trading up is a recipe for disaster. When you have an experienced NFL man making the picks, it isn't necessarily so awful, although it shouldn't be done with any regularity. The two times I think it is acceptable is to get that franchise caliber QB, and if you think your team is one player away (at a key position) from being good enough to win a SB.

I acknowledged that it is risky and that the GM had better be certain. If he misses, he'll rightfully get killed for it.

Bridgewater doesn't have to be as good as Peyton Manning. Peyton is a VERY special once in a generation type QB. That doesn't mean that Teddy couldn't be a great franchise QB, lead his team to several SB wins, and be at or near the same level as Peyton and Brady.

    Who are you again?

I don't understand why folks need to click on threads they think are stupid.

This tread started as a goof thread last nite and a bunch of homers decided we shouldn't ever consider another QB, how dare we?

It's a joke. It's not serious. It's laden with sarcasm. A little hyperbole thrown in.

Taken WAY too seriously by really serious people.

    On the Internet.

    Geez, get a helmet.

Just having fun with homers getting hysterical about discussing another QB.

    It's not serious.

    It's the Internet.

This is the NFL. There are no certainties in play.

That means that a big trade up for a player in the 1st round is like tying yourself to the railroad tracks and just hoping a train does not come along.

You are right that I should have known better than to waste my time on a douche bag like you.

I am sure you will fall by the wayside like so many of the other douche bags that have come and gone before you got here.

Agreed. Teams make dumb decisions all the time. If the Texans can't see that QB is their biggest need and instead opt for yet another defensive player, then they deserve to lose.

You don't make the offer unless you're committed to making the deal.

OMG. Now all of sudden it all makes sense. I posted with SG3 on another Jets board a few years ago.

Nice touch. Btw, I went back through the thread and I didn't pick arguments with anyone that didn't first engaged or has engaged in prior silly discussions. You included.

But you seem a bit angry. You should calm down.

The multiple douchebag comments are pretty adult like.

    Very classy. Very mature.

Well done, you win the Internet.

They said last night during the broadcast that Teddy ran the ball a LOT in HS as they ran a read option type offense. He showed excellent running instincts last night.

That horrible 3-game stretch goes on Rex. Rex shut Geno and the offense down and admitted as much.

No one's asking you spend one second discussing it. Attitudes like yours kill me on Jets boards. If you don't like the premise of the thread, fine, either don't respond, or say you vehemently disagree with the premise, but trying to censor discussion or insulting other posters is just childish.

Hallelujah for Idzik not trading up.

The thread isn't pointless. Just because it won't happen, doesn't mean an intelligent discussion can't be had on the merits of trading up to get a franchise QB and discussing what it might cost. It's a philosophical discussion.

Don't bother, there are a bunch of them in this thread.

I don't understand the pathological obsession of some posters to insist other posters not discuss what they want to.

    It's the Internet.

    It's not serious.

I seriously don't understand what the attraction for Scarlett Johannson is. She's not all that. I think there are a ton of young models and actresses that are a LOT better looking than that skank.

She's very attractive but I'm not a fan of the Hollywood idol worship. Everyone looks better after three hours of makeup. I'm sure most of us know girls IRL who are hotter than a lot of actresses we see on film or tv.

If Barnes can come back healthy, they could be a top defense without Van Noy.

But, understand this. The Jets could take a WR in round 1, and they could take the most NFL-ready one (Lee) and they still might not get a lot out of the guy as a rookie. Van Noy, on the other hand, should make an impact from Week 1. Also, it is easy to find WRs in free agency, but very difficult to find pass rushers in that way. Good pass rushers are generally acquired through the draft.

I would be pleased with Van Noy, Lee or Evans.

Damn Brad cursing up a storm :rofl2:

That is a first. Bahaha but yes indeed you don't trade your entire draft for 1 player - is Mike Ditka our HC?

Scarlett is fucking sexy without make-up on dude. I advise you to google her pictures.
