Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter 1m There are now multiple signs pointing to Rex Ryan returning as Jets HC next season, per sources; still some issues to work through, however.
I love these social networks.. no way they are gonna just ignore about 95% of Jets Nation hash tagging #KeepRex all over the place ! but on a more serious note this is what i been wanting to here!
That is fine by me. Have Rex improve on what needs to happen on the offensive side of the ball. Rex, spend the off-season with Marty - it will save your job and make us a better team.
Im stoked to see what continuity will do for our team along with a healthy amount of talent coming to us.
This seems right to me - keep, no extension though. This wasn't a good year - but really, it wasn't a good team either. Next year Rex will have a bunch of young talent, and a chance to build...
Sure, if you conveniently ignore the fact that Miami are a better team than we are and have more to play for.
They are 1 game better at the moment and if we win both will be 8-8. Hard to argue they are better prior to the game. The players on the jets have plenty to play for.
We can lose the game because Miami is better and more motivated and still "show up". What LTJF is referring to is the all too often scene in Rex's tenure where the game is basically over in the first quarter because the team is without a doubt unprepared and unmotivated - that is not showing up -- See Bengals game, Bills game etc.
I don't mind if Rex stays or goes to be honest. If he stays, he needs to put the passive and conservative coaching behind. It's probably been the most frustrating things to watch this season.
