Pacers try to be a "rough, old school team" but they whine and complain as much as the "softer" teams. Although this could be my bias creeping in
Hey-oh! The Blazers have been quite worrisome though. I thought it was odd at the end of the year last year that they weren't sneaking into the playoffs. Now they are blowing up much more than I anticipated this year. Maybe it just needed a little bit of time to have everything jell.
I've really been slacking with clips and gifs. 76ers with a buzzer beater in OT That type of season for BK so far
Yeah the West looks so much more fun come playoff time than the East which really should be a MIA/IND rematch in the ECF.
Someone tell ESPN about Kobe's injury http://espn.go.com/nba/preview?gameId=400489264 Research Notes Including postseason, Kobe Bryant has played the 5th-most minutes in NBA history, including the most among active players. What a game down in south beach. Millsap was 7/8 from 3 balls and they lost in OT after Ray Allen makes 3 FTs to send it to overtime.
What a day. They put both New York teams on. Both teams are home. Both teams lose in huge routs. Both teams 9-19.
Tirico: "we've seen teams with far more talented resumes play with less effort than the Lakers" A)That makes no sense B)Talent doesn't mean you play with more effort I just wonder what is going on in this guy's brain.
It's supposed to be a compliment I think. Basically, "we've seen talented teams give up and not stay in games even though on paper they should be competing, but the Lakers are less talented and are hustling every possession even though on paper they shouldn't be competing "
Well, there's no such thing as a "talented résumé", and the underlying premise is flawed. He's saying it's impressive they lack talent but they work harder. Less talented players normally do work harder. That's expected. He's implying that less talented players usually don't try as hard and this is impressive because they are working hard. The Lakers don't have much talent, so for them to stay in games, they have to outwork the other team. That's how it is.
Yeah, it definitely was a flawed statement the way he put it. I don't mind him saying it's nice to see the Lakers competing without talent though. I wonder why it was Breen/Hubie and JVG/Tirico as the announcing teams. Did they switch them this year and I never noticed? Or it might just be less travel for them because it's Christmas/Holidays
Clearly the Western conference is better than the East, but so far the Heat have only lost to Eastern conference teams this year. Weird.
yeah I remember them citing that stat during heat/pacers I think. The record of West teams against East teams this season is staggering, though.
I think they said Miami has won 19 in a row against western conference teams. Houston is fun to watch. Spread the floor on a fast break hit the open man. Hit the jumper. Then you have Dwight slamming it home when the guards get by their man
Spread the floor, play small, take a lot of 3s, have a big man in the middle who plays defense, rebounds, and throws down lobs. Sounds familiar :drunk:
Draymond Green and Blake Griffin both got tossed in the 4th Griffin getting ejected for his second tech was bogus, he probably shouldn't have gotten any techs bogut grabbed his jersey and wouldn't let go
