While I've some lingering 'McElroy arm' questions, overall he's shown he's got more game than just "game manager." Good kid too......girlfriend ain't bad either...
It says a lot about the lack of proof & the credibility of the complaintant. Multiple DNA samples found on the girl (3) including her boyfriend, contradicting Tox report to what she claimed, and multiple witnesses saying the sex was consensual. They even hinted at a civil suit for defamation. It's no coincidence this nonsensical accusation came out once he became a superstar.
OK State has it inside the OU 5, OK State running time off the clock intentionally, OU allows them and then gives up the TD on third down so now OU has under 2 minutes left
defenses were good today until the last two drives each team went down the field easily for the go ahead TD OU wins! and now the Cowboys can't win the Big 12
The CBS feed showed "Arguments" why FSU/OSU if they win should be in the national championship and why the winner of this SEC title game should make it. The arguments for SEC is "x many national championships", "strong conference", "one loss SEC teams are 2-0 in national championship games". Nothing about Auburn or Mizzou which I found strange and nothing about FSU or OSU specifically either. It was weird EDIT: Also this has a been a strange game.
well the argument shouldn't involve FSU it should involve Ohio State (if they win) and the winner of Auburn/Missouri FSU has been clearly the best team in college football. I don't see them losing to Duke, so they'd be ranked #1, and by a pretty clear margin. Alabama lost too late in the season to make it, but I believe FSU and Alabama are the two best teams.
Wow if Ohio State loses then its gunna by Auburn in the Championship. Auburns secondary is horrible but it would be quite the matchup (story line wise)
yeah Auburn will not get past Ohio State unless the Buckeyes lose, but that's a definite possibility. Spartans out to a 10-0 lead. It's down to FSU/Ohio State and FSU/Auburn because Duke is just completely overmatched. It's only 7-0 right now but they are struggling on both sides of the ball to stand up to FSU's talent.
I love you Michigan State!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!WTG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Buckeyes out of the NC, all is now right in the world.
I was at the game. We hung with you guys for a quarter, better than many have done. Hope we get a rematch in CLT next year. Here's hoping FSU brings one home for the ACC.
http://espn.go.com/college-football...tate-broncos-tries-clear-name-being-sent-home BOISE, Idaho -- Boise State quarterback Joe Southwick said he was unfairly dismissed from the Hawaii Bowl, arguing he was falsely accused of urinating from a hotel balcony. Southwick, a senior who was sent home Friday by interim head coach Bob Gregory shortly after the team arrived in Hawaii, took a polygraph test after arriving in Boise in his bid to prove his innocence, KTVB reported Sunday. Initially, Southwick and backup quarterback Nick Patti were suspended for violating team rules, with BSU not providing details of what happened. Eventually, Patti was reinstated, but Southwick was taken to the airport where he says he waited nine hours before his flight. The incident -- and Southwick's denial of involvement -- represents a challenge for a program that was already in transition: Former head coach Chris Petersen quit and took a job at the University of Washington earlier this month following an 8-4 season, his worst since taking over as head coach in 2006. Brian Harsin, the former head coach at Arkansas State, has been hired to replace Petersen, but the Hawaii Bowl was seen as a chance for Gregory to elevate his profile. "It's really important for myself and my family to get this cleared up," Southwick said. "There was no process to properly adjudicate what happened. It's really disappointing that it had to come to this. Southwick said the results of the polygraph indicate he was telling the truth: He witnessed another player urinate off the balcony, but didn't do it himself. "Really, this gives me a leg to stand on," he said of the polygraph, adding he went to bed after watching the incident, and learned the next morning at the team's breakfast that he'd been accused.
Yeah this is an awful story and I feel bad for the kid if he didn't do it. Love him taking the lie detector test and releasing the results. If its not true he'll be remembered forever for a pretty shitty thing. Guys not playing in the pros, that'll be the lasting memory if him because he couldn't play in his last game. _
helmet to helmet contact on Logan Thomas which is correctly flagged. CBS announcers spend 3 minutes complaining about the call and how it's not right and you can't play defense because of the rules. He hit him in the head after the ball was thrown. How about not hitting the QB in the head? Logan Thomas was knocked out of the game because of this illegal play that the announcers are busy crying about.
ESPN's update guy just claimed Spurrier's nickname is 'the head ball coach'. Turns out that was his nickname 15 years ago, but it changed to 'ol' ball coach'.
