Noone is saying they're all holdings hands and playing pattycakes. However there's a level of consistency and conformity through all strong organizations. Now an example of the anti-conformity is when you bring in a new GM, yet keep the existing CS and other's in the FO. That just doesn't tend to work and usually wreaks of an organization that doesn't have strong leadership at the top (Ownership).
I could, but what I think are positives within our organisation you will not see or accept, you are wholly pessimistic and cannot be convinced unless we get a flux capacitor and travel back to '68. I enjoy being a Jets fan through thick and thin and a huge chunk of that is being frustrated. But you seem to think that we are the only fan base on the face of the earth that is 'cursed'. This 'affliction' happens to other teams in other sports as well, I support an EPL team that hasn't won ANYTHING since 1969 and with way more teams competing in the English leagues than the NFL the odds are even greater on failure. This is exactly what the Steelers did in 2000. They replaced the Director of Football Operations, who was the equivalent of GM in their structure and kept almost everybody else. They're probably the team with the strongest effective ownership in the league, or were until recently.
This is the NFL, teams bubble up all the time. You can't possibly project three years from now, let alone ten. Shoot, you can never really project one year from now except for the Pats winning 10+ with Brady/Beli automatically. KC was 2-14 last year and is going to finish with 12-13 wins this year.
Ah we have had 44 years to "bubble" up as U stated so why has it not happen to us in those 44 years? :sad;
& what does that video have to do with the NYJs? Just stick to the FACTs which are we have won NOTHING in the last 44 years. That is a real fact like landing on the moon or Obama winning 2 terms as our Prez. If U do not like the real true facts about the NYJs then find a hobby other then FB instead of continuing to insult posters who have a different viewpoint then U do concerning the NYJs. :sad:
Cmon I hope U not care about those teams that have never won the SB because I sure do not. Your problem IMHO is you are true denial of the sad sack organization has been for the last 44 years. It is time for you to stop drinking that green koolaid & wearing green glasses & start looking & accepting what the real facts are. Again I state to U when I see a positive like a SB winning QB or a fleet game breaking WR or the next Petersen I will be more then happy to post that. Just like all the posters before U U complain about me complaining about the NYJs but just like all of them U give me NOTHING to back up your claim. That little fluff your wrote about I would not accept them confirms that U have zero facts to back up your allegations IMHO is just plain BS. BTW here are just questions which only need a true/false answer Is it correct that the last time the NYJs won a SB is 01/12/69? Is it correct that since formation in 1960 as the Titans the overall record of the Titans & NYJs is still under 500 in 2013? Remember just true or false for either question :sad:
Then go root for a better team. Why are you torturing yourself by rooting for such a horrible team that hasn't done anything in 44 years?
Look it has to be how the NYJ organization is operated by Woody since he has now owned the team almost 15 years with totally zero results right? In the same period of time to compare that other NY team that plays in the same stadium as the NYJs has won 2 SBs. If U think there is not something wrong with the our organization then you are truly in NYJ denial. BTW who do you think will appear next in a SB the NYGs or the NYJs now that we are more/less on the same level? :sad:
I'm pretty sure its a FACT that you're a miserable, cranky old man. I'm not that far behind you, and my viewpoint concerning the NYJs is very pessimistic as well. Not quite as bad as yours, I've actually found an athlete or two who played for the NYJs that was worth rooting for enthusiastically over the years, but not nearly enough. Anyway, Merry Christmas to you and your sad face.
I don't know why Leon Hess is even in anyone's conversation these days. His time with the Jets has long passed and honestly, I was raised to respect the dead even if I didn't particularly care for them. Leon Hess is dead. His family no longer owns the Jets. His only legacy is the green and white unis the team wears but it ends with that. Let Leon rest in peace for cryin out loud. Respect the dead..
I'll play your silly game. 1 - true. 2 - true. ......now what does that have to do with the Jets 0f 2013/14. You LIVE in the past and its time to move on. We all KNOW how long its been and we would all LOVE to see a SB team. Give Woody some credit, he is still trying and has now hopefully (cause thats all we have right now) found the right GM in Idzek to get us to the next level, so far I like what I've seen. In the last year we've gone from a cap strapped team to being one of the big hitters in FA next season, if we need to. We also have 12 draft picks, whats not to get excited about?....... Ah yes no JWN in the '14 draft :wink: Yeah I get it, another year goes by, but YOU want to hold the last 44 years of accountability on the current regime and you think its fair too. Woody has made plenty of mistakes, but give him credit where its due, hes not stopped trying and continues to try and take us in the right direction. I know reading this must be mus be making your eyes bleed. It has nothing to do with green kool-aid , you are the eternal pessimist and I like many others here are optimists. That's your problem. Leon dreads the day Champ knocks on them pearly gates. :jets:
OK, let's reminisce and dream. Those '68 Jets were a great team. They were big underdogs in SB III because they were underrated. Having said that, they did give Buffalo its only win that year. They did have to make fourth quarter comebacks against weaker teams (Houston and the second Buffalo game, I believe). The point is that even that team, our best team, was no juggernaut. The Chiefs and the Raiders probably would have beaten Baltimore worse. I don't just want another SB, I want a juggernaut. I want a dynasty. I want domination.
Er why do you think I captioned the post between Leon & Woody? My god U must really not read well or just so blinded by your NYJs blinders that you cannot see the forest from the trees. Also your post of the teams that did not yet win a SB IMHO makes it fashionable to lose as U R saying see all these teams won nothing but the NYJs won something years ago so so what if the NYJs R on 44 year losing streak so it is no big deal. I surely hope that the NYJs do not win a SB in your lifetime so you can feel the same emptiness that I & other long time NYJ fans feel. As for having hope in sad sack Woody U can totally forget it as he has shown over the 15 years he has own the team that he lacks the FB smarts just like Geno & Mark do & remember lurking in the wings is his son so U better hope that his mom has some brains which she passed onto her son because if he got his fathers brains watch out for another 50 years :sad:
The 68 team was good enough to win SB3 so that ends that story right then & there. I would not consider the Pats to be a dominating team but they won 3 SBs right? If the media was correct the 68 Colts were the most dominating team in FB & yet we beat them. We would have to totally turn over the O roster to be a team of dominance & that would take some years & a far different HC then RR at the helm :sad:
Why did U see them win SB3? If not U are in exactly the same position as the teams you referenced :sad:
