Whether or not they were posted here, everybody had their own prediction for the season. A lot of the "experts" were in the 3-13 area; we probably won't get them to explain their miscalculations but with the season ending at seven or eight wins, how did YOU do? For the record, I was at 6-10 but was tempted to upgrade to 8-8 or 9-7 midway through but as an LSJF stayed at 6-10. I attribute my discrepancy to a couple of surprise (lucky?) outcomes early in the season.
I was at around 6 to 10 wins from the start. This season showed a lot of promise and hope for the future.
I thought they would win 3/4 fames and be the worst team in football. I think Rex did a good job. I don't understand where all the Rex hate comes from. Look at the roster.. smith has had one of the worst seasons a qb has ever had. The fa0pct the jets have a chance to go 8/8 is impressive. Geno smith is a rookie qb and a terrible one at that. What did some of you expect?
I predicted 7 to 9 wins, and given how poorly Smith has played in many games and how disappointing the special teams have been I'm surprised that that is where it's going to end up.
I thought 11-5 with Mark Sanchez, I am not sure where I said they would finish with Geno. Something like 5-11 or 6-10 or worse maybe. I didn't have much faith.
I was on 5 to 8 wins from the get-go. The Jets didn't have the talent to do better than that and Rex's defense set the floor. I'm really glad the Jets are in the upper levels of the range. There's a big difference between watching 14 meaningful games and watching a half dozen.
I was on 4 - 6 wins, based on the overall talent. I had upped it to maybe 7 when we surprised in the first 5. Definitely better than expected. For the record I am still on the get rid of Rex side that I was on for the last 2 years, this years record has nothing to do with it, in my opinion he just is not a good "head" coach and never will be.
I was thinking with not having an offence to scare any team, just a bunch of guys we picked up off the street and Tone who is hurt all the time and Hill who is just lost in space. Something like 5 to 7 with our defense winning those games.
I was thinking 5-6 wins this year and is the main reason why I'm not concerned with how we've looked thus far. I think this team, the way it was constrcuted (rookie qb/vet bum qb, no running game, no WRs, no TE, questionable oline, young defense, questionable secondary) has beaten expectations for me. I wanted to see Geno sooner rather than later and rebuild the offense in this coming offseason. If we add two WRs, a TE an OG, and some secondary help via FA and the draft, I think we vault into an AFC contender and a lock for the playoffs next year.... I'm guessing 11-5.
i cant remember exactly. i think i was somewhere around 10 wins. i think this team would have made the playoffs with mark starting. but thats not important now anyway. if the jets beat the dolphins and get to 8-8, then i dont really think there is much reason for anyone to complain.
11-5 is what im predicting for next year as well if Rex is still coach and we do the right things to fix offense.Sucks to be a Cardnials fan they may end up missing playoffs at 11-5 that would drive me crazy if that happend to Jets
I predicted 7 to 9 wins and was tempted to increase my prediction at one point earlier in the season, but resisted the temptation.
