Jerricho Cotchery was the last Jets receiver to gain over a 1000 yards in a season. He did it in 2007 with 82 receptions 1130 yards. I don't know for sure because i don't feel like checking, but I'd imagine that's the longest current steak for a team without a 1000 yard receiver

Okay,so i did check.the raiders and the jaguars haven't had one since 2005, and we are tied with the Seahawks and rams for teams that haven't had one since 2007.

I definitely think they will go WR in the first round . I can't see how they don't. I would love to see the mocks about us getting Sammy Watkins come true

I think we need to draft and sign a WR. Tone is history, Hill can't be a #2 and would be a poor fit in the slot.

    Draft Watkins/Evans/Lee in first round

and sign Decker...I'd get Decker if I were the Jets, just dont know if he wants to be with Peyton though. I'd sign him as hes tall and a great WR

We're still primed to draft Watkins/Evans/Lee depending on who wants a QB, or Matthews/Benjamin/Robinson in the second for a solid guy.

Or do both things. The Jets might well use a 1st and 3rd on a WR next year. They just need more talent outside. The slot they have covered, the outside is a problem.

It is extremely rare for a rookie WR to reach 1000 yards.

Sign Maclin and Tate and Pettigrew. Draft Watkins/Lee/Evans in round 1.

This is true, however, this draft has some really talented guys. It's not out of the question one or two could do so with a few years of experience. My dream would be to somehow get Sammy Watkins and DGB together in the next few years, if at all possible.

Santonio Holmes 2.0. Have you watched him at all this year? The guy is a bum and this is when he's playing for a contract

This team needs receivers so bad. I wouldn't even be against pulling a 1995 and going WR in rounds 1 and 2.

Imagine taking Watkins in round 1 as the home run hitter and Jordan Matthews in round 2 as the tough possession WR.. This offense would look much much better. Both guys played on big stages at high levels, were productive too. The opposite of a Stephen hill pick

Sammy Watkins or Mike Evans could change that... as long as the QB play isnt atrocious.

He's right, even Julio Jones didn't reach 1000 yards its pretty rare. Doesn't mean they can't be playmakers though, Sammy Watkins is a beast can't wait to see his vertical at the combine.
