TThe Superintendent is POed that Army keeps losing to Navy.

Kotwica was defensive captain, and 4 and 0 against Navy, in his playing days.

 

we have much more serious problems to solve than who coaches special teams.

not really a factor at this point.

 

our STs are much improved from a year ago and will improve more as we acquire more talent and have more depth.

 

let junc coach special teams. maybe an optimist can improve both the personnel and execution.

2012 - 10.3 yards per punt return, 26.2 yards per kick return

2013 - 9.0 yards per punt return, 22.8 yards per kick return

But yea, go ahead and keep saying our special teams are much improved from last year.

 

Agreed. We haven't had a good punt returner in years. We must lead the league in fair catches over the past two seasons.

 

What did we give up in returns last year vs. this year.

 

2012 - 21.9 yards per opponent kick return, 12.1 yards per opponent punt return

2013 - 22.7 yards per opponent kick return, 11.1 yards per opponent punt return

There was a 63 yard return which skewed the 2012 punt returns.

Regardless, STs has been utter garbage this year.

 

Ehh FG kicking has been incredible this year. It isn't all terrible

 

Special Teams lost us the game last week against the top rated Panthers. They should ALL be fired.

 

He sucks. Good riddance.

 

I hope he leaves. I don't think he's done a good job. Bring back Westoff.

That fake he ran today was a good idea but poorly executed. Otherwise, ST has been poor this year. All the blocked punts and almost no return game this year. Bye!

 

You realize there is more to STs than just returns, right? and you realize our best returner was cut, right? that returned also turned it over a ton which was a big reason why he was cut so the extra yds are overblown.

and our KRs are down b/c we have seen more touchbacks.

did we allow ant TDs on PRs this year? did we have multiple punts blocked?(I think we had 2 including 1 for a TD- have we allowed any TDs on STs this year?)

Dont think it was that bad, Also dont think it was that good. Also agree we have not had a true KR in a few years. Dont think they wanted to waste a roster spot on someone who just returned kicks. Maybe that will change now.
