It was the AFL Title not AFC and if they automatically put us in that game in at home in 2009 or 2010 while our opponent had to play the week before we would have won AFC Titles. ok so we earned it in 1968 winning a weak division where the 2nd place team was a .500 team but we didn't earn it in 2009 where we actually won 2 road playoff games in a division w/ a dynasty team.
The good news is that Idzik, a smart football man will.be making the decision to extend Rex And not fairweather SOJ "fans" from places like Carolina with 216 or so posts
But Rex had MARK! Sanchez! <--- huge advantage Jets!!! Cowher on the other hand, had to pile up one playoff year after another with the likes of Neil O'Donnell/Bubby Brister and Mike Tomczak at QB. Can you imagine Cowher's record if he had Mark! Sanchez! ?????
This forum has really gone downhill. Gone are the days when we can have an actual discussion on the future of our coach. Now we have blind homers, and the enemies of blind homers... good posts get lost in the shuffle.
we used to have great discussions, long before folks like you started to chime in. Unfortunately there aren't as many of us that are knowledgeable and we have more like you who aren't.
This thread suggests that 7 out of 10 Jets fans want Rex Ryan back in 2014. However, if 1 out of 10 don't want him back, and that 1 is John Idzik, it is sayonara Rex!
It has nothing to do with my opinions actually, that's the sad part. I wasn't even really referring to you. You can disagree with me and want Rex back that's fine. It's just the certain people that come back time and again with the same schtick that's annoying. If you want to argue Rex deserves another chance or whatever that's fine. If you want to say he's a "top 10" coach that's fine - tell me why then? Entertaining the thought they he should stay or should get fired either way is fine. But those folks that jump in over and over again with the one liners usually about the playoff losses from 3+ years ago and/or Mark Sanchez crap does nothing but coax others on and clogs discussion..
I'm not so sure this is a one man decision. vast majority of Jet fans want him back, 100% of the players are passionate he come back, and most surprisingly I'm seeing vast majority of analysts on NFLN and ESPN stating he deserves to come back. If Idzik wants him gone, he's going to need a convincing plan to move forward in order to make this a team decision.. I don't think change for the sake of change, or giving 'my guy' a chance will be enough to make a 2014 change.
Rex better keep his job.. I'd like to see how many coaches would already have six wins with the black Blaine Gabbert
I'm a big Rex supporter, but Idzik was brought in to run this team. He should bring in his guy. How can we evaluate Idzik if he isnt allowed to do his job as he sees fit.
LOL Sorry, I didn't realize the additional 400 posts gave you more credibility and knowledge. I bow to your superior knowledge and experience. [sarcasm off]
 It figures. Small minds have to resort to profanity. I've already seen what many of the posters here think of you (troll). I have to agree.
If you believe it to be right, that is fine. It doesn't necessarily make you right. I am not going to voice my opinion on this issue because I am not interested in where that will cause you to go. I know from past experiences where it will lead and I simply don't have the time for it. So believe what you want. That's cool. We are all entitled to opinions.
