I'm worried he will get snatched up by NE or MIA go back to being a top tierD coordinator. Just compounding and amplifying the jets pain

Doubt he would go to NE out of respect for the franchise. I bet he would take a year out of football if anything.

Hell...with the number of HC vacancies to come next year, I would bet that Rex would be out of work for like a week.

The man has his faults, but he would definitely get another shot...looking at all the retreads in the NFL coaching ranks, I would find it hard to imagine he'll be off the sidelines for long.

If they get rid of him he'll end up in Dallas or Detroit.

Def he has 4 impressive playoff wins on his resume someone will take him.And will hire some unproven dickhead who will end up ruining the franchise a few more years ,then we will fire the unproven dickhead and bring in someone else and on and on.Lets just keep Rex why go down that road

With that Dallas team Rex will win a SB within 3 years.

Doubt Rex manages kids in college well, but he would get people to play for him that's for sure.

I can see Rex in the broadcast booth. I can see Rex as a DC someplace. No way do I see him as a HC anytime in the near future. Too much Rex still has to get a handle on first before anyone gives him another HC job. He's a great DC, just not a really effective manager yet.

That's silly imo. You shouldn't worry about things like that. I don't think Rex is a top tier D Coach any more. It's looking more and more like his supposed genius was due to the talent he had in Baltimore and here in 2009 & 2010, not any genius on his part.

Jerry Jones would pay $$$$ to bring Rex in. Hell Rex would get a bigger contract than Garrett to fix that D.

We still have a top tier defense despite a lack of talent on the second and third level on that side of the ball.

Looking at his overall resume on the defensive side of the ball completely discredits your argument. On every level.

This scares me....scares the HELL out of me! If the NY Jets let Ryan go you can bank that somehow some way he is roaming another sideline as HC and he will proceed to kick our asses for the next decade. It IS the NY Jet thing to do. Mark my words....

I still have yet to read about a solid replacement that doesn't have a ton of "warts" themselves.

This is def my major concern.I could see him go to Cleveland or Houstan and making history at some point by winning there first Superbowls .While we continue or meaningless coaching changes every 3-5 years
