Could he fall to us ? video - http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...GHZrBEtYUJmh,95bjRqaTo_9U21n77viJ0Oi-aXBGwoyE
If we don't stack up on offense talent and protection, he'll do the same as Geno. I could see even more turnovers actually.
He was probably asked "How would you feel if you were drafted by the Jets?" How else could he respond? Honestly I don't want to draft a top Qb this year without a top 5 pick, and obviously with our situation we need offensive skill players to support a rookie Qb. No rookie would do well with the Jets right now.
It'd be amazing if we had a shot at him but he's probably going in the Top 10. Also, as it's been discussed ad nauseum on this site, we need offensive play makers or else no QB is going to look good back there. We should try and grab 2 WR's and a TE in the first few rounds. Address QB later rounds or via FA.
Judge yourself...click the link, a reporter asked him the question and there is a video of him. He sounded like he would love it here
Seriously? Joe Namath wasn't exactly a shrinking violet wallflower and, the NY media helped put him on the national map (commercials, etc.)
12 picks next draft, absolutely no reason why we can't get a quality QB and weapons , couple that with getting in a vet QB as well, taking that Sanchez is gone... Sent from my wey aye phone using Tapatalk - now Free
Depends on who you ask. Some folks here think top 10. Some folks here think top 15-20, which is where I think he'll go. I think most draft experts have him somewhere in that 20 range. Some folks here think he'll go 3rd round. Or later. _
You have to be right if you make a Manziel pick. There's never been a QB able to run successfully in the NFL over a period of years. They all either get hurt or lack the other skills necessary to play QB long-term. So to draft Johnny Manziel you need to believe that he could prosper as a pure pocket passer after undergoing a knee surgery or two. The knee surgeries are just a formality, he's going to get banged up running the ball more than 3 or 4 times a game because everybody who has done that in the past has gotten banged up eventually. For every Russell Wilson there's an RGIII. For every Drew Brees there's a Doug Flutie. Where does Manziel stand on those scales?
As much as he runs or has run in the past, I heard a stat the other day that he has become the most accurate passer in the nation from the pocket and that the percentage of throws and completions he's making from the pocket are substantially higher than last year. Plus his rushing attempts this year are about 70 less than last year. It appears either by design or by accident he's becoming somewhat more of a pocket passer. Who knows if his game translates- I've seen him throw up some prayer/ducks that his receivers have come down with that are going to get picked in the NFL but I've also seen him make incredibly accurate lasers into small windows to both sidelines. _
Manziel will get drafted by the Vikings. A lot of the teams with worse records than us have franchise QBs and the one that doesnt, the Texans, will draft Bridgewater if anything. Jags could draft em to.
Teams drafting before us that COULD be looking at a QB IMHO: Oakland Cleveland Jacksonville Houston Minnesota Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Tennessee, Giants, Washington, Atlanta, TB not so much. Wild card is St. Louis. What do they do with Bradford? I think they look later on in the draft for a backup plan. _
