If the Jets win out:

Baltimore has to lose 2 out of 3 @Det, NE, @Cin
San Diego has to lose vs either Oak or KC

If the Jets win 2 out of 3:

Baltimore has to lose out @Det, NE, @Cin
San Diego has to lose out vs Oak and KC
Miami has to lose out 2 out of 3 including to the Jets

The Jets cannot make the playoffs at 7-9 because all 3 of their opponents are at 7 wins and if the Jets lose out they all have the tie-breakers.

 

The thing I like is that it is week 15 and the Jets cannot be eliminated this weekend if they win. They're at the high end of the range I figured they'd be in at this point and they still have a chance to break through the ceiling. When you're talking .500 ball from last place talent that's pretty amazing.

 

Kansas City will be playing week 17 if they are tied with Denver still, Chiefs can get the 1 or 2 seed depending on if Denver loses again. This is pretty bad right now though, not gunna lie. All we can do now is win Sunday and see where the chips fall.

 

Miami won, what does that mean for us?

 

They have to lose to bills next week its fonna be really tough for jets to get in but im happy with our season if it wasnt for that 3 game skid we would be in the playoffs next year is looking really bright tons cap and tons draft picks

If they win vs Buffalo, we have to win the next two then beat them in Miami.

Edit. Actually i think on wrong. We'll have the same record if we beat them week 17, but then it'll go into divisional record which we would be tied and then it goes into conference record I believe..

 

right, so why were you guaranteeing a Patriots victory the entire game?

 

It means the Ravens are likely to lose to the Pats next week, but it also means Miami has to lose to Buffalo (and the Jets) in order for us to get into the Playoffs.

if we win the next two and balitmore loses 2 out 3… the matchup against the phins will be the 6th spot. weather the phins beat the bills or not.. they have to beat us if we win out week 17

We're not making the playoffs. I'd rather the Pats lose so that the AFC playoffs don't go through Foxborough.

 

I just put that into the espn playoff machine and it had the fins as the 6th seed.
