Cro and Hill were sidelined from today's practice. I think Cro will play, but Hill? What's with him besides sucky play has him sidelined?
When Hill plays, he usually doesn't play. He's a ghost. I can't believe how disappointing he's been. I had high hopes when they drafted him. I knew he was a bit of a project, but he has such physical talent. It's really a shame.
Funny, I heard the same thing before the Saints game. The key to this game will be Rex Ryan and his game plan with David Harris. They need to devise a way to limit Newton's production on the ground. Harris will have to read him each play and keep an eye on him at all times. If we can disrupt quickly up front, and Harris cleans up when he has to dash outta there, we could have ourselves a close, low scoring game.
I know how much of a huge Jet fan you are and all but have you ever predicted that the Jets would beat anyone anytime any week?
I think Cam will have a big day. Rex's D always struggles eliminating the big play with mobile QBs. I could see a game in which our Jets look solid throughout on defense but struggle scoring on offense and a couple big plays win it for the Panthers. Something like 24-10.
Neither I feel will make a difference this week anyways. Hill is absolutely useless and Cro has not been good - Getting beat deep, PI all over the field, missed tackles! Not that we have anyone great to go to besides him but it wont hurt our gameplan any more than these guys being in the lineup struggling like they are now!
Sit'em, seriously just sit him for once, Cro's a good soldier fighting through injury but its more trouble than its worth.
I had very good feelings about the PATS & Saints games....... this one though.... BLOOD BATH. I will be very happy if I'm wrong :shit::jets:
One guy you might pay attention to on Sunday and who could slip in for a very fast potential big play is the Jets newest receiver Salaam Hakim (Az's brother) who has 4.2 speed. They just signed him off of the PS so he's not new to Marty's offense and has worked with Geno so he's not a brand new guy. He has super speed and talent but very little experience. He had so much potential that the Saints last season activated him the last 3 games because they were afraid someone else would sign him off of their PS. Of course you can always say if he was that good they would have kept him around but things don't always work that way in the NFL. You can have only so many Wrs and probably they didn't think his potential merited a roster spot. That is if he dresses.
Olsen is questionable for the game Sunday with a foot injury. I don't root for injuries, never have but if he misses the game I will not be upset. I don't think we match up well with him. Man, I remember seeing him as a kid in HS, can't believe how good he has become. I'd really like an Olsen-type TE once in the next decade. _
