McCown was playing very well before that game. I think he only has 2 (maybe #?) turnovers and has thrown for a bunch of TDs. There is no comparison between him and Geno. It's a dead argument.

The line has some good individuals, but has been terrible as a unit.

Most DBs do not run in the 4.3/4.4 range. There are some that do, but to say "most" is not at all accurate. He is a young player developing. I, like many others now and on draft day, would have preferred Jeffery, but he's not the player that was picked. I will defend Hill because he does have potential and because you are dismissing him as a bust despite knowing that he was a huge project coming in. Do I think he should be a #1 or #2 right now? No. His route running has not gotten him to that point yet and he has a lot of work to do with his body control. Does that mean we should just cut him? No, because another team will just pick him up, use and develop him right, and a ton of Jets fans will be bitching about how the FO never gets anything right.

If he doesn't show enough by the end of next season and if the CS doesn't see enough improvement in him to keep him around, then cut him, but I seriously doubt that he won't finish out his rookie contract with the Jets. It costs next to nothing to keep the guy on the roster.

A team that is set a WR can afford to take a chance on a project like Hill. We were not in that position and should never have drafted him.
He may turn out to be a good wideout but we just didn't have the talent to wait it out.

Tanny was a bean-counter while Bradway, the imbecile, traded away 2 #1's for the privilege of drafting him.

By the way, I asked in another thread. How is T Bradway STILL part of the scouting team through all these horrid drafts?

Yes I know, it was intended to mean that hopefully Idzik doesn't make the same mistakes as Tannenbaum.

Even still, the defense of Hill on this board is pretty terrible. It would be one thing to say that he's a one dimensional deep threat, because he sure isn't going over the middle and hanging on to a ball fired right at his chest. But even on the deep balls he doesn't make an athletic play on the ball! I'd trust a 5'8" corner breaking up the pass against Hill because he looks like he's scared to extend his arms at all times.

Stephen Hill is a waste of roster space.Hes pure garbage,We dont have time to waste another two years on this guy.I hope we cut him or try and trade him in the offseason. He has a little bit of trade value in a 6 th or 7 th rounder.Only way i see him staying is if hes 6th or 7th on depth chart

Keeping Hill is more valuable than a 7th rounder. He just needs to be a #5 receiver until next season where hopefully he can take a step forward with a new WR coach.
