Newspapers will read..."the team that couldn't win back to back games all season finishes the season on a 3 game win streak clinching the last afc wild card birth, the jets are coming!"
We could play our best game all year and still lose by 10 if the Panthers play well. They're just a better, more talented team. If they play well, they win. If they lay another egg like last week, we'll be in it.
Is this the same panthers team that lost to the bills week 2, and hasn't been above .500 for 3 years as of 1.5 months ago??? Cam is very inconsistent.
It's also the same Panthers team that won 8 straight, annihilated the Giants, Bucs, and Falcons, beat the Pats at home, won in San Francisco, and lost a heart-breaking game to Seattle in week 1. They also have an elite run-defense and an elite pass-rush . . . and we have . . . our offense.
I am so pumped for this game, knowing that this is practically the season is exciting. This team needs to prove something, they havent shown up on the road at all this entire season, its been pathetics performance after pathetic performance. It really doesnt make sense either, sure teams play worse on the road but we have completely dropped off repeatedly. I think knowing that this is it, we actually show up for the first time since the Monday Night game in Atlanta. Not sure if it will be enough but hopefully the game is winnable in the 4th quarter.
Not this season. He was very consistent during their 8-game winning streak. He has more weapons now too as LaFell and Ginn, Jr. have played well and added yet another dimension to their offense. Mike Tolbert has also played a little more and added yet another weapon to their arsenal. I knew they were in trouble when they only scored FGs vs NO. If then score even one TD there, that game could have been different. NO gives lots of teams nightmares, especially at home. I fully expect the Panthers to bounce back this week and should win fairly easily against the Jets.
Not sure anyone has mentioned this already but if we were to surpass the Fins in the standings, it would be pretty embarrassing for them. They spent all that money in the off-season while we did the complete opposite. Come to think of it, they should be embarrassed now that we are only 1 game back. Didn't Buffalo spend a lot of money too of was that the year before?
And all of that crap means nothing. The Panthers are a much better team than the Jets and we're playing in there house. Geno may be on the bench in the second half again.
So many things wrong with this post. #1. The Jets didn't smash the Saints. They won by less than a TD. #2. The Jets played the Saints at home and CAR had to travel to the SuperDome. Huge difference. #3. Preseason predictions mean absolutely nothing in Week 15. Who had Houston with 2 wins? Or KC with 11? #4. You want to play the who-beat-whom game? Carolina went into Miami and beat them. The Jets got smoked at home by Miami. You see, that doesn't work so well sometimes.
"Your predictions are so wrong! Here are my predictions!" The game hasn't happened yet, so why get so worked up about predictions when either side could be wrong? It's hard for me to see how the Jets get this win, but Carolina are no juggernaut. I just hope we at least keep it competitive.
