Thank you, not sure what this cat Stoke's deal is with Baker, but its making this thread unreadable.

And like others have said, the infatuation with these qb PROSPECTS is strange to me. I like Teddy and Manziel, and a few guys here and there, but they're prospects.... Most of them wont do squat jesus. Yea lets ignore wr and draft 10 qbs!!!!! Smh

    Yep.

There's nothing wrong with looking at the QB's hard next year but I'm having trouble figuring out which of them is going to be worth a 1st round pick. In the 4th round some real value may show up due to the number of injured QB's and one-year wonders out there but that value is going to be from a competition standpoint.

One of these years the Jets are going to get lucky with a young QB. Having a couple of guys on the roster that might be that guy is where the Jets want to be in 2014. I'm not giving up on Geno at all but I'd like to see another guy on the roster who might be the answer if Geno is not.

He looks really good. He has a good arm, moves well in the pocket and has good size. For what it is worth, Ray Lucas and Brian Griese both think he is the best of the QBs who are draft eligible.

I still see Teddy as by far and away the front runner, but Bortles (watched him against PSU...wow) and Carr are starting to look like first round picks. Manziek should go in the top ten also, but you never know. This is a very strong draft class for QBs and it looks like Tajh Boyd is gonna take a fall.

How can you say that for sure? For all we know, Geno could end up being better than Teddy Bridgewater.

WW85, apologies but with all due respect, this is a thread about QBs and whether they are top ten and tangentially whether the Jets should be looking at any of them.

You have a few posters here that are Geno apologists who want NOTHING to do with a QB this draft--ANY QB and feel the need to derail the discussions towards what WRs and TEs we should be looking at.

There are threads for those discussions, me calling someone a Geno apologist is NOT a personal attack--it's pointing out a fact and attempting to steer the discussion back tomthe topic of the thread.

You want to dump on the QBs? Fine. You want to talk WRs and TEs? Why the obsession with doing it here? To derail any talk of possible competition for Geno.

And as such, people have the opinion to say whether we believe we shouldn't be looking at them as well.

You just negated your own point.

You are right. Hell, he might even end up being better than Aaron Rogers.

It's just my opinion based on watching all these guys. It's an opinion based upon the universal acknowledgment that last year was an awful year for QBs and that this year was going to be a good year for QBs (notwithstanding Mariota staying in school). I saw Geno a bunch in college and live a few times. I've also watched all of the guys coming out this year (other than Carr) and I simply feel a BUNCH of them are hands down better than Geno was in college.

You obviously have a different opinion, but we're all entitled to our own beliefs.

I, for one, don't want to put all my eggs in the Geno basket because I, for one, believe there are 6-7 QBs that are BETTER than him that I'd prefer to build around. If we grab a QB and Geno turns out to be much better or just better, that's great for the Jets. If the other QB turns out to be better, also great for the Jets.

    The draft is a gamble.

I want Braxton Miller if he comes out. That guy's got it. Reminds me of a smaller version of Cam Newton

I stronglt disagree. Miller still needs to work on his arm. He's nothing like Cam Newton.

Just because we might not want a QB in this draft doesn't mean we can't partake in this thread or give our take on a QB. The thread title doesn't state anything about the Jets. The thread creator said this:

I don't see why people CAN'T say they don't want a QB very high regardless if they like Geno or not as long as its done in a respectful manner. People like myself would be alright with Murray in a later round over taking a QB like Manziel with a top pick where we want that top pick to go for a need on the team, that's healthy discussion

I want a veteran QB ala McCown, you don't. That's cool. You want a high picked QB, I don't. That's also cool. On the previous page, I just quoted you saying I am on board the veteran QB bandwagon and then you brought up Geno by calling him "My Hero" when that had nothing to do with the argument at hand.

And it isn't a fact that I or others am/are a Geno apologist. How's that a fact? That's an opinion. And I brought up two prospects who shined in a game that people were watching here, what's wrong with a 5 word sentence speaking up about Cooks or Huff? I didn't go on a tangent with those guys.

I don't know what in the hell you are watching. A smaller version of Cam Newton isn't a good QB to begin with.

I hope we never touch that guy
