only way we win is if we don't turn the fucking football over and if we get some lucky breaks ... it can happen, but not so likely on the road
Everyone said that before the Saints game,The Pats game,And even the Falcons. If Carolina Wins tonight they may overlook us .And we might be able to pull off the upset.Id rather Carolina come in with a 9 game winning streak instead of losing tonight .If they lose tonight the game against us is gonna be important in there division race
Hopefully Cam Newton blows out his ACL or something because thats the only way the Jets are going to win. Jets have looked putrid against good defenses this year and without Cam, we could maybe squeak out a low scoring game.
The good news is we are sandwiched in between both of the Panthers and Saints games......meaning this could be a letdown game for the Panthers where they don't get up for the Jets after what happens on SNF and with their final showdown at home vs New Orleans. It is the same ordeal the Chiefs dealt with the Chargers this year. SD got them at Arrowhead in between both of the Broncos games and upset them and got a lousy Chiefs defense to show up(Though we have nowhere near the firepower the Bolts have admittedly) We also excel at what Carolina likes to do best on offense....run the ball. We can stop Williams/Stewart/Tolbert so it'll be on Newton. Steve Smith and Olsen are first down converters but they aren't necessarily deep burn threats.....it is Ginn(NFC's Jacoby Jones basically) and LaFell who become the huge issue. You gotta hope Rex can confuse Newton or if the Jets can win the battle of trenches against Carolina so Newton can't pick us apart deep down the field. Jets offense will be buried in the red zone, if we even get there. We might get subjected to FGs as Coaching Staff/Geno will be playing not to turn the ball over. We need this game to be a low scoring game of course where Folk makes 4 FGs and hope it is enough. Thus the Jet defense has to be absolutely game.....like how they were vs the Patriots at home in the 2nd half. They have to be that kind of effective. Anything less and it is trouble. Carolina has pulled off some massive comebacks late in games and the Jet D has been notorious for pulling off duds to end the game. I think Carolina wins on a late drive led...maybe something along the lines of 20-16.
Exactly what I was thinking. Easy to overlook the Jets in a Saints sandwich. Tough game for sure but if our O line can play well and our secondary can handle the mediocre Panthers receivers we will have a shot. I dont expect the Panthers to score too much. I just can't imagine our offense doing enough. Kerley is back and we play a lot beter with him healthy so there is hope I guess.
At this point I rather have Wilson cover him or something Cro is killing me. As for the Panthers, their defense I know it's good. What's the strength. Run stopping or Secondary? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Not familiar enough with the intricacies of flex scheduling, but any chance the Jets/Panthers game gets moved to Sunday Night?
Panthers are getting exposed by the saints in the passing game...wonder if Geno can learn how to throw like this in a week.
Maybe Cam will get a bit down on himself after this performance - he can be a bit of a mental case. They will need to get to him early and make things uncomfortable.
They seem to be able to get after Cam. Hope Mo and Co. Can do the same. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
We have to keep cam at in a bunch if 3rd and 7+. They are getting a lot of pressure with just bringing four and jamming/attacking smith every underneath route.
Pryor played 1 series and had 3 carries for 4 yards...had a long of 8. So on the other two carries he lost 4 yards. Not exactly Barry Sanders.
